Cloud Network Engineer
UMB AG
• Betreuung, Optimierung und kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung komplexer Netzwerkinfrastrukturen in der virtual private Cloud der UMB AG (UMB Cloud). • Eigenständige Analyse und Behebung von Netzwerkstörungen (Netzwerk-Troubleshooting). • Mitarbeit im allgemeinen Betrieb der UMB Cloud (Incidents und Changes auführen). • Mitarbeit an der Strategie, dem Design und der Architektur der Netzwerkinfrastruktur der UMB Cloud.
Job Requirements
- Abgeschlossene Informatiklehre oder -Studium und mindestens 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung als Netzwerk Engineer im MSP oder Enterprise Umfeld.
- Fundierte Fachkenntnisse in den Bereichen Perimeter Security, Routing & Switching, VPN, TCP/IP, WLAN.
- Erfahrung, Ausbildungen und Zertifizierungen von Cisco und HPE/Juniper.
- Kenntnisse mit VMware, Linux- und Windows Servern von Vorteil.
- Dein Deutsch ist stilsicher, und du schreibst und sprichst Englisch.
- Bereitschaft für Pikett, Nacht- u. Wochenende Einsätze.

• Overall responsibility for network operations and maintenance of all systems to ensure compliance with CWIE/CCBill/phoenixNAP guidelines and industry best practices. • Troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime. • Act as last line support function and provide assistance to other employees and NOC. • Utilize network management systems to monitor, diagnose, control, and measure network performance, ensuring proactive issue resolution and optimization. • Strives for continuous improvement to ensure that the network infrastructure attains maximum performance, security, and availability. • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, interconnections, processes, and service records, to ensure accurate tracking of maintenance and system changes.
• Proactive Monitoring: actively monitor customer network infrastructure using established NMS tools to identify and resolve issues before they impact service. • Incident Management: Create, work, and resolve trouble tickets for network and server issues with a high degree of accuracy. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Layer 1-3 network issues independently, utilizing logical troubleshooting methodologies. • Scheduled Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance, software upgrades, and patch management on customer network equipment during low-traffic maintenance windows. • Documentation & Handoff: Document and diagram networks, relevant processes, and troubleshooting steps. Ensure clear and detailed shift handoffs to incoming/outgoing teams to maintain operational continuity. • Escalation: Properly identify and escalate complex incidents to appropriate Tier 2/3 resources or vendors when necessary. • Communication: Communicate technical concepts in a clear, understandable manner to customers and internal stakeholders. • Knowledge Base: Contribute to the team knowledge base by creating solutions for common issues. • On-Call: Participate in an on-call rotation as required. • Schedule: Anticipated schedule is 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM Central Time and will include weekends.**o Note: Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. • Training: Initial training hours may vary and could require availability during standard business hours before transitioning to the 2nd shift schedule.
