Research Data Analyst
Binance
• Produce institutional-grade data insights reports on macro trends and sector trends (DeFi, NFT, Gaming, Metaverse, L1/L2, Middleware) for internal stakeholders. • Analyze and interpret large volumes of on-chain transactional and operational data (EVM and non-EVM), including: (1) Parsing complex smart contract interactions and multi-signature transactions; (2) Tracing fund flows across wallets, bridges, DEXs, and CEXs; (3) Identifying whale movements, wash trading patterns, and MEV activities; (4) Reconstructing transaction graphs for forensic investigations • Leverage proprietary and open-source tools (Dune, Nansen, Arkham, custom scripts) to extract actionable intelligence from blockchain data • Work across all aspects of data from engineering to building sophisticated visualizations, machine learning models and experiments
Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience in blockchain data analysis; Bachelor's in Computer Science, Math, or Statistics
- Deep passion for Web3 data across DeFi, NFT, Gaming, L1/L2 ecosystems and key protocols
- Advanced on-chain forensics expertise: (1) Parse complex smart contract transactions (multicalls, batch txs, flashloans); (2) Trace fund flows across wallets, bridges, DEXs, and CEX deposit addresses; (3) Reconstruct transaction graphs and identify sophisticated laundering patterns; (4) Detect wash trading, MEV bots, and coordinated whale activities
- Technical proficiency: (1) SQL, Python, GraphQL for large-scale blockchain data querying; (2) ETL pipelines and API integration (Dune, Nansen, Arkham, Glassnode, internal tools); (3) Smart contract analysis (Etherscan, BlockSec, custom decoding scripts)
- Exchange data experience: (1) CEX deposit/withdrawal flow analysis; (2) Spot/futures volume attribution and fake volume detection; (3) Cross-chain bridge monitoring and liquidity flows
- Familiar with Web3 infrastructure (L1/L2 addressing standards, metadata formats, RPC endpoints)
