• Design, implement/code, and optimize relational MySQL, MongoDB and EMR databases. • Build and manage data warehouses and columnar databases for analytics and reporting. • Write, tune, and review complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimizations. • Ensure database scalability, security, and high availability in production environments. • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to support data-driven applications and pipelines. • Work closely with product teams and US-based clients, ensuring smooth communication across time zones. • Troubleshoot production database issues with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.

• Develop and maintain file platform ensuring it meets our high standards for performance and reliability. • Integrate with third-party services enhancing functionality and user experience. • API development and support for file uploading and management, enabling efficient and secure data handling. • Build infrastructure for webhooks and events ensuring our platform can efficiently process and respond to external signals. • Work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders across the organization to deliver on project goals and contribute to the overall strategy. • Continuously seek ways to improve our platform and processes, embracing new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation.

• Define and lead the technical architecture for Akamai's cloud platform and services. • Partner across engineering, product, and leadership to shape the technical direction of IaaS products spanning virtualization, Kubernetes, cloud storage, networking, and large-scale distributed systems. • Define the platform-level architecture standards, patterns, and principles for Akamai Cloud services. • Evaluate and guide decisions across virtualization, containers, storage, networking, and orchestration. Build alignment and consensus across engineering organizations. • Help engineering teams adopt pragmatic, high-impact solutions and unblock complex technical challenges. • Contribute to build / partner / buy decisions with product and corporate development stakeholders. • Represent Akamai Cloud in the broader engineering community through speaking, writing, standards participation, or open-source engagement. • Mentor senior engineers and architects, helping develop the next generation of technical leaders.
