Linux / Open-Source System Engineer

• Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux-based system environments • Deployment and integration of open-source solutions into existing infrastructures • Administration and optimization of server services • Analysis and resolution of technical issues at the system level • Automation of installation and operational processes • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Linux (e.g., Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL derivatives or similar)
  • Confident use of the command line and shell (Bash or equivalent)
  • Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)
  • Understanding of system architectures and service deployment
  • Ideally, experience with virtualization or container technologies
  • Independent, structured working style and strong problem-solving skills

Philips Transparency Details The hourly pay range for this position in NY is $37.00 to $58.00, plus overtime eligible.
