Account Executive, Service Provider
Kentik
• Develop plans and strategies and execute with supporting team to achieve or exceed the company’s revenue goals • Expert understanding and handling of the complex technology stack across the network performance and control in service providers, the multi-cultural nature of global telecommunications business, and leverage all resources to achieve success • Prospect for new business to rapidly expand given territory • Leverage channels as a GTM strategy • Create, build, and foster a sense of team across all functional roles in the Service Provider Revenue team • Generate high quality new opportunities to deliver predictable business • Diligently manage pipeline with disciplined accurate forecasting • Work collaboratively with marketing teams to build demand gen programs that generate net new pipeline for the region • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors and industry trends • Travel is a requirement and you must be able to travel on short notice
Job Requirements
- 10 years+ of experience selling to medium to large service providers, with current connections within strategic accounts within the region
- Demonstrated prospecting skills for new logos - research ideal target and buying personas, outreach to those roles, leverage network for leads and referrals
- SaaS/high-tech experience is a must. Significant experience selling a SaaS product, via Channel Partners and Direct Sales. Network infrastructure, observability/monitoring, or cybersecurity sales experience preferred
- Experience navigating large, complex transactions that require building business value across multiple groups within a target account
- Highly organized and driven by success; can prioritize critical tasks/projects/accounts to exceed goals
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
- Outstanding negotiating skills
- Large established network of relationships with target companies in defined target markets
- Prefer experience with MEDDPICC sales methodology
- Adept with modern revenue tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6Sense, Gong, Clearbit, etc.). Take detailed notes and have that information continuously updated in Salesforce for reference
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, from network engineer to CEO
- Must be able to travel on short notice
