Job Description

Oracle AR, Oracle Collections Specialist

Elfonze Technologies

• Handle customer creation & maintenance • Setup transaction types and manage AutoInvoice & transaction processing • Process receipts both manually and automatically • Configure Lockbox and manage Credit memos & adjustments • Handle Refund processing and Tax configuration • Create Aging reports and handle Revenue recognition basics • Manage receipt reconciliation and understand SLA and accounting entries • Integrate AR with Order Management, Cash Management, and General Ledger • Setup and strategize Collections management including dunning letters and scoring • Manage customer profiles, credit limits, and delinquency • Monitor aging buckets and follow-up activities • Conduct customer risk assessments and reviews • Understand chart of accounts, journal entries, and the period close process

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience in AR functional setup and configurations
  • End-to-end knowledge of: Customer creation & maintenance, Transaction types setup, AutoInvoice & transaction processing, Receipt processing (manual & automatic), Lockbox configuration, Credit memo & adjustments, Refund processing, Tax configuration
  • Experience in: Aging reports, Revenue recognition basics, Receipt reconciliation, SLA (Subledger Accounting) and accounting entries
  • Understanding of AR integration with: Order Management (OM), Cash Management (CM), General Ledger (GL)
  • Experience in Collections setup and strategy configuration
  • Managing: Dunning letters, Collection strategies & scoring, Customer profiles & credit limits, Delinquency management, Handling dispute management, Monitoring aging buckets and follow-up activities
  • Exposure to customer risk assessment and credit review process
  • Basic understanding of: Chart of Accounts (COA), Journal entries & posting, Period close process, Reconciliation, Understanding of AR to GL reconciliation
  • Experience with Financial Reporting

In this role, you will be responsible for following up on outstanding insurance and patient balances, ensuring timely reimbursement while upholding accuracy, compliance, and professionalism in every interaction. Position Details: - Location: Pompano Beach, FL (On-site); Remote for candidates outside South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward & Palm Beach counties) - Reports to: Collections Manager & VP of Revenue Cycle Management - Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities: - Conduct timely and accurate follow-up on outstanding claims with third-party payers, managed care providers, and patients. - Review and work aged accounts receivable (AR) reports to identify unpaid or underpaid claims. - Communicate professionally with patients regarding account balances and set up payment arrangements when necessary. - Research and resolve denials, partial payments, and other payment discrepancies. - Document all collection activities and communications in the billing system in an audit-ready format. - Collaborate with internal billing, coding, and clinical departments to resolve outstanding issues impacting claims payment. - Stay up to date on payer-specific billing requirements, filing deadlines, and appeals processes. - Ensure adherence to federal and state billing regulations, including HIPAA and FDCPA. - Respond to inbound patient and payer inquiries related to billing and collections. - Support departmental goals for AR reduction, cash flow improvement, and compliance. - Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by leadership. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, collections, or account resolution; preferably in a healthcare environment. - Familiarity with insurance carriers, managed care plans, and third-party billing processes. - Working knowledge of FDCPA and other relevant collection regulations. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and billing systems (experience with Kipu, CollaborateMD, or similar platforms is a plus). - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
