Role Description Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Software Engineering Intern! Software Engineering Intern solves business needs by building quality software with guidance from senior engineering team members. - Develop secure, high quality, performant scalable code, using the required programming language and tools. - Assist in the design and development of software solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. - Participate in requirements definition, design walkthroughs, and code reviews. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. - Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions. - Define and perform unit testing of code. Support functional and regression testing efforts. - Work closely with senior engineers to enhance your technical skills and understanding of software development methodologies. Qualifications - Currently enrolled full-time and pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required. - Programming experience with C#. Experience with other object-oriented languages like Java or Python. - In-depth knowledge of architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling). - Experience with Database technologies. - Hands-on experience building systems in one or more cloud providers – AWS, Azure, GCP. - Knowledge of developer tooling across the SDLC (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations). - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Developing analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. • Perform the role of Lead Statistical Programmer for assigned projects • Continually seek ways and means to provide more efficient and effective programming practices • Develop specifications for SDTM datasets and SDTM datasets specifications for Clinical Data Analysis (CDA configuration) module in elluminate • Develop SAS programming to produce SDTM datasets and SDTM datasets for CDA configuration • Develop specifications for Analysis Data Model (ADaM) datasets • Develop SAS programming for ADaM datasets • Responsible for developing and maintaining programming and validation specifications for TLGs as per requirements provided by the Biostatistician • Create and maintain SAS programs to produce outputs to support the analysis and reporting of clinical trials • Develop analysis datasets for trial level reporting and integrated safety and efficacy activities • Program and QC data listings, summaries and Graphs as defined in SAP. If required, validate the statistical models used for programming • Develop re-usable utility macros in order to build a macro library to support programming tables, listing and graphs for phase 1-4 clinical trial reporting • Collaborate with the project team to ensure the deliverables are completed on time with high quality • Create submission-ready standard data presentations and data sets using standard coding and following standard industry processes including SDLC • Maintain all project documentation as required by SOP and Processes • Mentor statistical programmers • Ensure compliance with eClinical Solutions and industry quality standards, guidelines and procedures

• Contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines that ingest player, game, and marketing data from databases, event streams, and external APIs. • Assist in developing, evaluating, and iterating on machine learning models for use cases such as LTV prediction, churn forecasting, player segmentation, and marketing optimization. • Build and optimize analytical datasets and feature pipelines that support modeling, experimentation, and reporting. • Partner with Product, Game Design, Marketing, and Analytics teams to help frame business questions, define success metrics, and surface actionable insights. • Support data quality, reliability, and reproducibility through testing, documentation, and version control. • Help integrate model outputs into dashboards, reporting tools, or downstream systems to support operational decision-making. • Continuously learn and improve your own analytical workflows, modeling approaches, and data tooling under the guidance of senior team members.
