Health Insurance Subject Matter Expert

• Support the product team throughout the feature development lifecycle by providing deep health insurance expertise and operational insights. • Translate end-to-end health insurance processes (e.g. underwriting, policy administration, claims, renewals, billing) into clear product requirements and functional documentation. • Conduct competitor and market research to identify feature gaps, best practices, and emerging trends in global health insurance. • Contribute to product planning, roadmap discussions, and prioritization from a health insurance perspective. • Participate actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate functionality, workflows, and business logic. • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and market relevance of health insurance features delivered on the platform. • Work hands-on with product and engineering teams during delivery to clarify requirements and resolve domain-related questions. • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and insurers, to gather feedback and validate product direction. • Support the positioning of CoverGo’s health insurance capabilities across global insurance markets by contributing domain knowledge to sales, pre-sales, and marketing efforts when needed.
Job Requirements
- Atleast 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, with strong exposure to end-to-end insurance operations.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in health insurance.
- Experience in life and/or P&C insurance is considered a strong advantage.
- Having a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of the full health insurance lifecycle, including product setup, policy administration, claims, billing, renewals, and regulatory considerations.
- Proven ability to create clear, structured documentation such as process flows, requirements, and functional specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, technology, and business teams.
- Critical, forward thinker, innovator, and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven, and globally distributed environment.
- Experience working with insurance systems or digital transformation initiatives is a strong plus.
- Exposure to multiple markets or global health insurance products is an advantage.
