System Designer – Dayshift
Twoconnect
• Design and coordinate fully integrated home automation systems including lighting control, motorised blinds/shading, power distribution, audio-visual systems, security alarms, access control, centralised control systems • Produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation. Adapt designs to suit project budgets and client requirements. • Review and interpret MEP and electrical drawings. Understand system interfaces, intent, and coordination requirements. • Identify clashes, inconsistencies, missing information, and design risks. Raise RFIs and clarification points early in the design process. • Lead technical clarification discussions with consultants and project teams. • Work closely with Project Managers, Installers, Electricians, External consultants and participate in technical meetings and design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering or any related field
- 4–5+ years in a systems design role within: Home automation, Smart buildings, AV systems Building services
- Strong MEP or electrical design background
- Proven experience producing accurate take-offs from electrical drawings
- Strong understanding of electrical layouts and low-voltage systems
- Knowledge of lighting control systems, AV distribution, security and access control, blind control systems, low-voltage infrastructure and understanding of system architectures and integration principles
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design/documentation tools
