Machine Connectivity Consultant
Syntax
• Consulting, design and implementation of machine connectivity solutions in industrial environments • Connecting machines, equipment and production lines to SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP APM, SAP BTP and IoT architectures • Designing and implementing OT/IT integration architectures (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, REST, edge computing) • Analyzing shopfloor and automation landscapes and deriving sustainable connectivity strategies • Conducting OT/IT workshops with business units, IT and automation teams • Integrating machine and process data into higher-level SAP solutions (e.g., SAP DM, SAP APM, Analytics) • Supporting presales activities — e.g., solution concepts, architecture designs, workshops and effort estimations • Actively contributing to standards, templates and best practices in machine connectivity • Collaborating in international project teams and working at well-known industrial clients • Professional and personal development — e.g., toward Machine Connectivity Architect, (partial) project leadership or OT/IT lead roles • Open team culture with room for initiative, responsibility and new ideas — no micromanagement
Job Requirements
- Experience connecting machines and equipment in industrial environments (OT/IT)
- Knowledge of machine connectivity technologies such as OPC UA, MQTT, REST, edge devices or gateways
- Understanding of production processes, automation engineering and industrial IT architectures
- Ideally experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP APM, SAP BTP or IoT
- Experience in analyzing, designing and implementing technical integration solutions
- Experience in project work, workshops or customer consulting is an advantage
- Structured, solution-oriented working style and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Communicative personality with an interest in Industry 4.0, digitalization and new technologies.
