Executive Director, Digital Government

• Provide organizational leadership, strategic direction, quality assurance, government perspective, and overall goals and implementation for the Center for Digital Government programs. • Lead the Digital Communities program as well as the annual Digital Cities, Digital Counties and Government Experience surveys and awards. • Support the Center for Public Sector AI and Digital States program. • Assist with councils and other programs especially with maintaining a network of current and former state and local government leaders. • Serve as the deputy to the Chief Programs Officer. • Collaborate with Editorial, Content Studio, Research, Marketing, Events, and Sales as a market advisor. • Build and maintain relationships with key government leadership, technology leaders, and other officials in cities and counties across the nation. • Design and host CDG events including summits, workshops, and the annual market briefing.
Job Requirements
- 10-15 years’ experience in state and local government or has equivalent working knowledge of the organizational structures, processes, and technologies of state and local governments and education.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and lead small and large groups.
- Demonstrated ability to excel as an independent contributor working with teams across the organization.
- Strong team player willing to collaborate with other senior leaders.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing timelines, and simultaneously set priorities for self and others.
- The ability to strategically plan to successfully deliver quality work products.
- Retention of market-level knowledge once acquired; apply such knowledge to future projects and in interactions with clients.
- Comfortable and confident interacting with high-level officials in the private and public sector.
- Ability to effectively provide data insights and present findings (orally, written, graphically).
- Consistently gaining knowledge to stay current with the market, policy, and technology.
