Field Service Engineer
SHELLBACK Semiconductor Technology
• The Field Service Engineer represents Shellback Semiconductor Technology at customer semiconductor fabrication facilities across EMEA. • This role supports the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrade of Shellback wet processing platforms, including PLC-controlled wafer processing systems and their integrated heater assemblies, DI water distribution modules, and safety interlock subsystems. • The position requires direct engagement with customer engineering and production teams to diagnose electrical, electronic, and control-related issues, restore equipment performance, and support stable wafer processing operations. • Travel across EMEA is required and may account for up to 70% of working time, including occasional weekend assignments. • International travel to Shellback headquarters may also be required for technical training and certification.
Job Requirements
- Candidates must demonstrate strong electromechanical aptitude with hands-on experience supporting industrial or technical equipment in a field service or maintenance environment.
- Experience in semiconductor capital equipment is preferred.
- Experience in related high-precision industries such as industrial automation, aerospace, military electronics, medical systems, or advanced manufacturing is also highly valued.
- Proficient use of multimeter and oscilloscope for electrical diagnostics.
- Component-level and board-level troubleshooting capability.
- Experience working with 3-phase power systems and industrial control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- PLC-controlled equipment exposure preferred.
- Soldering and cable fabrication skills.
- Mechanical and electrical system integration experience.
- Technical diploma, vocational electronics training, military electronics training, or equivalent hands-on experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication.

• Data Center Service Technicians travel to customer sites to start up, commission and safely troubleshoot and repair Data Center equipment. • This position requires the ability to work independently, and candidates should have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. • Requires some ability to manage the projects while onsite for start-up commissioning and coordination of other trades and services. • Perform factory start-up, commissioning, warranty and billable service on Munters Data Center equipment and systems. • Maintain and protect Munters equipment and property. • Respond in a timely manner to all requests for service from customers or management. • Provide customer training on Munters equipment. • Provide technical feedback on equipment using detailed field service reports. • Understand that Field Service’s major role is one of instant response to customers’ needs and focus as a part of a team always makes us available to our customer needs, urgent or otherwise.
