Title: Senior Order-to-Cash (O2C) Accountant Location: Jeannette, PA Hybrid Full time Job Description: Overview & Responsibilities The hybrid (3 days in office) Senior Order-to-Cash (O2C) Accountant is responsible for the financial execution of the O2C cycle, with a specific focus on revenue recognition, billing, and the underlying accounting for revenue activity and costs. Working under the direction of the O2C Manager, this role ensures that all financial transactions are processed accurately and that the costing associated with revenue-generating activities is properly recorded in accordance with company policies and IFRS standards. This role serves as a vital link between operations and the general ledger. Key Responsibilities I. Revenue & Cost Accounting - Prepare and post monthly journal entries associated with revenue recognition, cost of goods sold (COGS) and revenue-related accruals. - Review and record the accounting and costing details of revenue activities to ensure margins are accurately reflected in the financial statements. - Ensure all revenue-related activities are recorded in the correct period in compliance with IFRS 15 and company revenue recognition policies. II. Billing & Collections - Execute the end-to-end billing process, ensuring invoices are generated accurately and distributed timely based on customer contracts and operational milestones. - Monitor customer accounts and aging reports; perform proactive collection activities to ensure timely payments and minimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). - Partner with Sales and Operations teams to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or customer disputes affecting payment. III. Inventory & Balance Sheet Support - Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivable accounts to the general ledger. - Oversee the accounting for progress billings and adjustments, ensuring that the balance sheet accurately reflects contract assets and liabilities. - Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external auditors regarding revenue, costing, and receivables. IV. Reporting & Controls - Prepare monthly reports on key metrics, including aging trends, revenue variances, and bad debt reserve analysis. - Maintain and improve internal controls over the O2C and revenue cycles to ensure financial integrity. V. Key Competencies - Ability to trace revenue activities through to the general ledger and understand costing impacts. - Ability to establish process improvements to create efficiencies - High level of accuracy in preparing journal entries and reconciliations. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver accurate results under tight month-end deadlines. - Ability to work effectively across finance, sales, and operations functions. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. - 5+ years of accounting experience, specifically within Revenue Accounting, AR, or the O2C cycle. - CPA or CMA preferred - Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and revenue-to-cost matching principles. - Solid understanding of IFRS standards and internal control frameworks (SOX or similar). - Proficiency in a major ERP system and advanced Excel skills. • Provide after sales service by coordinating administrative, contractual, technical, and commercial aspects of field service projects • Supervise project management at customer sites for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting • Travel approximately 50% of the time • Coordinate teams and ensure technical and commercial understanding at project commencement • Conduct site surveys for proposals and manage project execution within budget
• Support the Site Manager and supervise customer personnel in installations and maintenance • Direct service representatives for corrective actions and troubleshooting • Maintain customer communication regarding equipment performance and issues • Collaborate with sales for spares, retrofits, and service contracts • Produce and present comprehensive service reports
• Provides after sales service • Supervises the installation, commissioning, overhaul and troubleshooting of Elliott and other OEM equipment at customer's sites • Ensures that work is carried out in accordance with the customer's expectations or specifications • Produces service income for Elliott Company • Ensures all work is performed in a safe manner to prevent injury to personnel or equipment • Adheres to instructions and guidelines as described in the quality and EHS management systems • Handles and coordinates technical issues of a project • Schedules and allocates personnel and material to execute work scopes • Conducts investigations of product trouble including performance problems and takes corrective action as directed • Provides technical direction and assists Field Service personnel on other assignments
• Lead Field Service technical advisor for technical support both on site or as a resource for the customer and other Field Service personnel • Supervises staff (Elliott, customer and contracted) at customer sites • Quotes jobs and assists with invoicing content and business decisions affecting profitability • Manages complex packages and contracts; investigates problems, customer complaints and disputes • Performs hazard identification and mitigation for all tasks being performed as part of job responsibilities • Manages effective field service reporting to assure proper feedback of product or contact trouble
• The PLM drives product strategy and acts as the voice of the customer and market. • Collaborate with the internal R&D and Sustainability teams to align product roadmaps with technical capability and new energy product goals. • Develop comprehensive outlook of competitor market share and product position along with strategy mitigation. • Clearly define Product Portfolio of models as well as own the product roadmap for features, enhancements, and new products.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate designated key accounts and all their relevant New Units/ New Apparatus sales and business activities • Meet or exceed the regional annual booking quota as established by the corporate business plan • Ensure risks are managed effectively with customers in the Region • Regularly review market changes and dynamics to pursue suitable opportunities • Review the opportunity list with the Sales Director and sales team for alignment with company goals • Provide reports & status updates to EMA Sales & Regional Director and other senior executives • Visit customers regularly to develop relationships and review opportunities • Monitor project order activity during manufacturing, construction and commissioning
• Develop and prepare technical solutions and quotation proposals for new equipment • Respond to customer inquiries for new equipment • Define the Elliott scope of supply • Complete requisition forms for major purchased auxiliaries • Review customer and industry standard specifications • Create proposals including data sheets, scope, performance curves, pricing, and delivery • Participate in bid clarification meetings with Sales/customer • Work with Sales/Management to adjust scope/delivery/price as needed • Transfer data to Project Engineering / Project Management after an order is received • Develop standards, repeatable procedures and calculations
