Project Manager, Biopharma

• Respond directly or direct all incoming inquiries from customers and the business development team to the appropriate expertise within the Biopharma Project Team; respond quickly and professionally with the information provided by the Biopharma Project Team in response to all customer and internal inquiries; maintain records • Develop a general knowledge of typical Biopharma Project workflows • Monitor and report “real time” on the status of all Biopharma commercial (revenue-generating) projects in-process; attend weekly Biopharma team meetings • Maintain and update transparent, accessible list of Biopharma WIP • Maintain accurate, timely records in all systems to allow for up-to-date reporting • Manage communication between existing and new customers and the internal team providing project fulfillment details and deliverables; provide written updates on project progress as agreed with certain customers • Work with Finance to support the development and implementation of a standard process to invoice Biopharma customers in an expeditious manner as and when required • Maintain a “real-time” revenue reporting system that includes all customer (revenue-generating) biopharma projects (including TCR library products) • Working with Product Management, the Biopharma team, and Finance, develop a Biopharma menu of services and sub-services with accurate COGS and end-user pricing to support customer quotes and proposals • Assist Finance with navigating through the payments processed for invoiced milestones • Indirectly manage Biopharma project capacity to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve business goals, report capacity issues • Working with key customers, develop processes to manage order intake, process progression, shipment/delivery, and sharing of project information • Participate in training the sales teams and support selling activities as appropriate • Support the creation of content collateral and product messaging to convey value proposition to target markets • Any other “ad hoc” projects not listed above as required from time to time • Follow regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in the life sciences or related field, with >2 years in a customer-facing role
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field. Advanced degree and/or hands on laboratory experience a bonus
- Customer communication from inquiry to delivery of services
- Understanding of services offering and customer workflows
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, and to work effectively with customers, internal operations, and sales teams
- Demonstrated track record of managing projects that meet customer expectations
- Outstanding leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Hands-on, high-energy, positive attitude with a can-do mindset.
