Associate QA Engineer

• Perform deep-dive manual testing on new features to understand system behaviour and identify bugs that automated scripts might miss • Design and document detailed, reusable test cases in Xray for Jira, ensuring clear traceability back to product requirements • Under the guidance of senior engineers, write and maintain automated test scripts in Python (Selenium) and Java (Playwright) across two different product lines • Engage in 2-week sprint cycles, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives • Identify, record, and track defects in Jira, providing clear logs and reproduction steps to help developers resolve issues quickly • Monitor automated test runs in GitLab CI and Jenkins, assisting in the investigation of 'red' builds to determine if the cause is a product bug or a script failure • Actively develop your skills in HCI domain knowledge (Virtualization, Storage, Networking) and cross-language automation

Job Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience/bootcamp)
  • Solid basic proficiency in either Python or Java (and a willingness to learn both)
  • A strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and what makes a 'good' test case
  • A genuine interest in how IT infrastructure works—Virtualization (KVM/ESXi), servers, and storage
  • Familiarity with Jira (experience with Xray or other test management tools is a significant advantage)
  • The ability to explain a technical defect clearly and concisely
  • Experience with AI-assisted tools to utilize as an accelerator for debugging, drafting initial test cases in Xray, or AI assisted learning (preferred)
