• You will develop a Developer Experience (DX) roadmap together with Product Management, aligned with our product and ecosystem strategy. • You will coach your team and foster an open, trusting team culture. • You will analyze internal and external developer journeys, identify friction points and translate them into measurable improvement initiatives. • You will define clear DX KPIs (e.g., onboarding time, deployment frequency, developer satisfaction, SDK adoption) and continuously measure their impact. • You will work closely with core commerce, cloud, QA, and design teams. • You will optimize local development environments, CI/CD workflows, automation, and testing standards. • You will drive the continued development and consistency of our SDKs, APIs, extension frameworks, and developer tools. • You will ensure the stability and scalability of our platform for partners and extensions. • You will also contribute hands-on and implement architectural best practices. • Together with Documentation and DevRel, you will elevate our technical documentation to the next level.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in backend, platform, or DevOps
- Experience with Go and Docker (required)
- Experience with PHP and AWS/GCP/Azure is a plus
- Experience scaling developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or platform environments
- Deep understanding of APIs, SDK design, automation, and scalable architecture
- Experience with open ecosystems, partner platforms, or extension systems is a plus
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on (approximately 30–50% technical contribution)
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A developer-first mindset and strong empathy for internal and external developers
- Very good English skills; German is a plus.
