IT Operations Engineer – On-Premise & Cloud

Dedalus

• Operation and further development of our SaaS cloud environments, including proactive optimization measures and incident handling • Remote administration of customer systems in hospital environments with high ownership for fault analysis and resolution • Active participation in designing modern cloud architectures in close collaboration with AWS as our primary cloud partner • Ensuring stable and secure operation of our on-premise infrastructures and SaaS cloud environments • Advancing our cross-product SaaS portfolio through technical expertise and innovation • Planning and executing system updates for various technologies as well as for our hospital information system Orbis® • Supporting the expansion of our Infrastructure-as-Code foundation through constructive feedback and practical improvement suggestions • Implementing extensions and upgrades to existing IT infrastructures, including troubleshooting and performance analysis • Close collaboration with product teams to continuously improve cloud services and integrations • Designing and implementing optimization measures for both cloud and on-premise environments

Job Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a technical degree
  • Solid practical experience with AWS, particularly EC2, RDS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB), EKS, Route 53 and Transit Gateway
  • Experience operating Windows and Linux server systems
  • Confident use of Infrastructure as Code, e.g., Terraform or OpenTofu
  • Solid knowledge of networking technologies, especially in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MariaDB is a plus
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or SaltStack is a plus
  • Experience in IT security is an advantage
  • High reliability, sense of responsibility and a professional approach to customer relations
  • Good communication skills, team orientation and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
