Junior Engineer – CNI & Cloud Networking
Logicalis GmbH
• You will take care of networking in our Kubernetes clusters. • You configure CNIs like Cilium and troubleshoot issues in live environments. • You ensure our platforms operate stably, transparently, and reliably. • You gain practical, hands-on experience in cloud and Kubernetes networking. • You work closely with our Kubernetes, infrastructure, and network teams. • You support building solutions that scale cleanly in both data centers and the cloud.
Job Requirements
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts
- Initial exposure to CNI plugins such as Cilium, Calico, or similar solutions (lab or project experience is sufficient)
- Basic knowledge of cloud networking concepts like VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and NAT
- Understanding of fundamental network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing
- Basic knowledge of container networking and service-to-service communication
- Motivation to learn modern technologies such as eBPF, overlay networking (e.g., VXLAN), or multi-cluster architectures
- Fluent English (C1); German language skills are a plus

Job Requirements: Education Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related. Employer will accept an advance degree in the same field. Experience Requirements: - 12 months of experience in job offered, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Software/DevOps Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, or closely related. Special skills requirements: - Experience delivering continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, utilizing techniques like blue/green and canary deployments, with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, and Spinnaker. - Experience with networking, VPNs, compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers). - Experience in architecting, developing, and maintaining production-grade systems in virtualized environments. - Experience migrating complex, multi-tiered workloads from on-prem to the cloud, including provisioning the target infrastructure and executing cutover plans that minimize system downtime. - Experience delivering immutable infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Packer.
