Position Location: Chandler, AZ Position: Cloud Platform Engineer Job Duties: - Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as GKE, BigQuery, and Compute Engine. - Architect and implement Infrastructure-as-Code automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to enable repeatable, immutable environment provisioning. - Build and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary releases, leveraging tools including Jenkins, CircleCI, and Spinnaker. - Perform workload migrations from on-premises data centers and other cloud environments to GCP, including provisioning target infrastructure and executing low-downtime cutover plans. - Collaborate with client engineering and operations teams to gather business and technical requirements, translating them into scalable and cost-efficient GCP architectures. - Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, security, and availability; troubleshoot and remediate issues across compute, storage, and networking layers. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks to support system deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. - Provide technical support and continuous improvements to existing cloud environments, ensuring compliance with best practices and evolving project requirements. - Position is based out of Chandler, AZ HQ but telecommuting is permitted on case by case basis. Job Requirements: Education Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related. Employer will accept an advance degree in the same field. Experience Requirements: - 12 months of experience in job offered, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Software/DevOps Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, or closely related. Special skills requirements: - Experience delivering continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, utilizing techniques like blue/green and canary deployments, with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, and Spinnaker. - Experience with networking, VPNs, compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers). - Experience in architecting, developing, and maintaining production-grade systems in virtualized environments. - Experience migrating complex, multi-tiered workloads from on-prem to the cloud, including provisioning the target infrastructure and executing cutover plans that minimize system downtime. - Experience delivering immutable infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Packer. • Support the health, security, and availability of AWS environments and scheduled workloads by performing routine operational tasks and assisting senior administrators • Assist with provisioning and basic configuration of AWS resources such as EC2, S3, IAM users/roles, and VPC components • Perform routine checks on system health, storage usage, and instance status • Monitor TWS/IWS job streams and report failures or delays to senior staff • Perform first-level triage on incidents and service tickets • Gather logs and diagnostic information for escalation • Execute scheduled backups and verify backup completion

• Support our internal teams by managing day-to-day operations and providing technical guidance across our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. • Assist internal users - from IT and engineering to business teams - by advising on project setups, configuring services, enabling integrations, supporting CI/CD workflows, and ensuring that cloud resources follow best practices in security, networking, and governance. • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and development teams to maintain a reliable, compliant, and well-structured cloud environment. • Help teams onboard to GCP, troubleshoot issues, and efficiently adopt platform capabilities.
