Online Student Advisory Board Officer – Communications & Marketing Chair
FAU College of Education
• Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies for the Online Student Advisory Board (“OSAB”) to engage the participation of other online students. • Create engaging content for digital platforms to promote OSAB initiatives, events, and services. • Manage OSAB’s social media presence, including content scheduling and community engagement. • Collaborate with FAU’s marketing team to reach the online student community effectively. • Commitment to serving in the role for at least one academic year. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA.
- Degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a 3.0 GPA.
- Must be enrolled in at least one FAU online course for the fall and spring semesters.
- Preferred skills include, but not limited to: Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Comfortable applying or willing to learn a great range of software and technology.
- Experience in marketing, communications, or social media management.
- Strong writing and content creation skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics.
- Creative thinking skills with attention to detail and ability to engage online audiences.

About this Position The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting company-wide, multi-channel communication efforts targeted at over 150,000 Primerica sales force members in US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam for company news, events, services, products and software tools. The Digital Communications Specialist will help create, support, execute, and measure the success of a variety of communications. Deliverables may include: emails, app notifications, text messages, product announcements, release notes, newsletters, technical and operational internal announcements, etc. Attention to detail and the ability to follow complex, yet well-defined processes and procedures are crucial to a candidate’s success in this position. • The Medical Editor is responsible for a range of editorial services, including leading the editorial work for their assigned accounts • Copy edit each project for correct spelling, grammar, consistency, balance, tone, fulfillment of creative brief, correct client and AMA style, and appropriate and accurate referencing • Perform fact checking and clean reads, including unbranded claims, core promotional materials, and data-related claims • Review client and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) changes in context of the piece as a whole; edit within context • Responsible for MLR submission preparation (tagging and linking in the client’s submission system) • Assume lead editing responsibilities on one or more accounts • Represent department at internal kickoff and status meetings • Demonstrate proficiency in and adherence to Editorial review process and best practices • Ensure all pieces are compliant with each client’s unique MLR submission process and best practices • Work collaboratively with assigned account team(s) to identify and suggest efficiencies to internal routing process
