• Partner with sales to support enterprise opportunities, and help customers understand the value of Mirantis’ industry-leading AI and Kubernetes-based solutions. • Lead technical discovery sessions, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements with customers and partners. • Serve as a trusted advisor to CTOs, platform teams, and AI engineering leaders. • Translate customer requirements into solution architectures leveraging Mirantis’ products and best practices. • Deliver engaging technical presentations and live demonstrations that showcase Mirantis’ platform capabilities, business value, and open-source innovation. • Represent Mirantis at industry events, conferences, and community meetups by delivering technical sessions, demonstrations, and thought leadership content. • Create technical content, demos, and solution patterns that accelerate adoption. • Prototype deployments of AI workloads and developer platforms. • Lead customer proof-of-concept engagements to validate solution fit. • Provide field feedback to influence product direction and go-to-market strategy.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role for cloud-native or enterprise software.
- A working knowledge of:
- Cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Container Orchestration, Multi-cluster Management, and public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- AI/ML deployment pipelines; Model serving and inference platforms
- AI/ML infrastructure tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, Ray, or similar frameworks), and how they integrate with cloud-native platforms
- DevOps, GitOps and automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines
- Observability tooling, including open-source monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape within the cloud infrastructure and open-source ecosystem.
- Track record of delivering outcomes for Fortune 500 clients and influencing senior IT/engineering leaders (CIO, CTO).
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and business audiences.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and events as needed.

What You'll Do Avalara is hiring a Customer Solutions Technical Implementation Engineer to accelerate complex customer solutions for property tax and help turn repeatable implementation patterns into scalable product features. You'll partner with our Solutions team on data-heavy custom builds for enterprise customers, and with Product/Engineering to productize what works into maintainable, configurable capabilities. This is a hands-on technical role. You are strongest in databases, data modeling, and integration engineering.
