Role Description Core4ce LLC, a Data-Minded National Security Partner, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Autonomy, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning (AAIM) Lab and contribute to a data analysis platform supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) mission customers. This is a hands-on engineering role embedded within a small, fast-moving team where you will design, build, and ship production software — not sit behind layers of abstraction. The ideal candidate is a versatile software engineer who is comfortable working across the stack, from cloud infrastructure and containerized services to backend APIs and data pipelines. You should be the kind of engineer who builds things on the side, contributes to open source, and takes ownership of problems end-to-end. You will work closely with government customers and mission partners, so the ability to translate user needs into working software quickly and iteratively is essential. • Work closely with the Product Management team to understand product requirements and translate them into executable tasks • Develop new features, enhance existing features, and optimize existing functionality, from conception and design through testing and deployment • Support the customer services team addressing escalated issues in a variety of areas • Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code • Participate in code reviews • Optimize and performance tune the application • Work with and potentially manage globally distributed offshore development teams

• Develop and maintain web applications using Vue.js 3 on the front end and Laravel 12 (PHP) on the back end • Split work approximately 50% front-end and 50% back-end • Create and consume RESTful APIs • Implement integrations between systems and external services • Version code using Git • Collaborate with the development team on architecture, best practices, and code reviews • Work with Docker for environment configuration and standardization • Assist in identifying and fixing bugs, ensuring the quality of deliveries • Contribute ideas and continuous improvements in usability, performance, and processes

• Build and maintain both web and mobile versions of the platform • Set up the backend, APIs, and database architecture for performance and scale • Translate UI designs into responsive, high-quality builds • Integrate with third-party tools and external data sources • Handle deployment, testing, and performance optimization
