Role Description The Cyber Defense Research Intern will support the Naval Information Warfare Centers (NIWC) Pacific and Atlantic, the University of Hawaii, and Department of Defense partners through applied research and technical projects that contribute to national security initiatives. Role Description The network engineering trainer will train, either in-person or virtually, Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) personnel on network devices found in the Medical Community of Interest (MedCOI). The trainer will develop training materials and provide instruction on the baseline configurations of MedCOI network devices and amend training materials when needed to incorporate the latest changes, additions, and enhancements to these network devices. The trainer will work closely with NSOC team leads and engineering staff to stay abreast of changes to the architecture and incorporate those changes into the training material. - Deliver virtual and/or on-site user training to the NSOC staff on best practices for managing and maintaining network devices found in the Med-COI. - The government or team lead will assist in determining the curriculum and training schedules. - Determine and analyze training needs for NSOC. - Design, develop and facilitate training sessions for new and existing staff members. - Develop training materials for the MedCOI architecture. - The trainer will leverage existing training materials and documentation to the greatest extent possible. - Develop a training plan and instructional design material. - Ensure training participants complete an evaluation survey designed at the end of the training session and submit the completed surveys to the government lead.
