Senior Accountant

OUTFITTERY

• Lead and manage accounting operations including bookkeeping, payment runs. • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Manage and coordinate tax compliance processes, including VAT, corporate tax, and other filings across 10 European countries. • Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Coordinate and support statutory audits, ensuring all deliverables and documentation are provided. • Implement and maintain robust internal controls, accounting processes, and best practices across entities. • Advise management on accounting, tax, and compliance implications of business decisions and work with cross-functional teams. • Mentor and guide junior accountants.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and European tax regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-country tax compliance and audits.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-border financial processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (both required); additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Navision) and advanced MS Excel skills.
