• Conduct in-depth research to gather information on a wide range of Earth-related topics, including but not limited to geology, oceanography, biology, volcanology, human evolution, climate science, and environmental issues. • Create detailed outlines for scripts based on assigned topics, ensuring a logical flow and comprehensive coverage of the subject matter. • Work closely with the production team to align on the vision and direction of the scripts, incorporating feedback and suggestions. • Craft informative and engaging scripts that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to a broad audience. • Provide animation and shot references within the scripts to guide the production team in visualising the content. • Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in Earth sciences to ensure content relevance and accuracy. • Participate in the revision process, making necessary adjustments based on feedback from the production team and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate-level education with a strong background or degree in Earth sciences, geology, environmental science, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and well-developed critical analysis skills.
  • Experience with or a strong interest in science communication and public outreach.
  • Passion for Earth sciences, biology, oceanography, and science in general.
  • Documentary writing experience preferred, particularly in the context of documentary-style content (not mandatory but a plus)
