Role Description The Revenue Cycle Coordinator supports the end-to-end revenue cycle by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of patient accounts, claims, and billing activities. This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments, patients, and outsourced billing partners, while actively managing work queues, resolving account issues, and supporting front-end and back-end revenue functions. The coordinator is expected to independently resolve routine issues and escalate complex or non-standard concerns as appropriate. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Duties/Responsibilities - Managed and prioritize assigned Epic work queues - Support the revenue cycle process as an additional liaison between revenue cycle team and outsourced billing team - Research billing and collections information to third party intermediaries for services rendered or for fees or other related charges - Perform reviews to determine and prioritize claims submission, rejection, and denials issues as seen through claims transactions/results from payers - Review patient accounts and coverage/insurance as needed for completeness and accuracy required by county programs, government payers, and private insurance carriers for billing, filing, and payment on medical and dental claims - Respond to requests for review status of account, account information accuracy, patient liability, arithmetical billing errors and general billing inquiries from the revenue cycle team or outsourced billing team - Monitor and submit explanation of benefits and payment information needed for payment posting to outsourced billing team - Follow up on payment with insurance payers and patients on outstanding accounts as needed - Perform accurate and timely review of patient accounts in accordance with policies and procedures and in compliance with federal, state, insurance carriers, health plans, and other third-party payor requirements, as assigned - Answer and manage incoming inquiries via the billing phone line - Respond to billing inquiries through Epic's patient messaging/MyChart messaging - Serve as a resource for front desk and back office regarding billing related questions - Manage and respond to requests submitted through the billing helpdesk - Ensure all data and research is secure and protected, maintaining HIPAA compliance - Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Effective interpersonal skills - Ability to professionally handle calls from patients, families, or third-party representatives - Interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner - Work with people of all social and ethnic backgrounds - Handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines - Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimal to no supervision - Work independently and as a team and take initiative - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Requirements - Minimum one (1) year of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle - Knowledge of medical billing and insurance process - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to manage high volume work queues - Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain billing information clearly to patients and staff - Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems preferred - Managed care and collections management experience preferred - Knowledge of HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, and Health Regulations preferred Working Conditions/Physical Requirements - This position is Fully Remote - Operates in a home office setting at times and requires frequent times of sitting, standing, repetitive motion, and talking - Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds, move from place to place, and stand for long periods of time

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Billing Revenue Cycle Manager (BRCM), the Revenue Specialist Lead plays an important role in the Revenue Cycle process of DAP Health. This role includes overseeing the Revenue Specialists who are responsible for verification of patient insurance coverage with insurance companies prior to the patients’ appointments (new and existing patients). The role also includes oversight of staff ensuring authorizations (as needed) are received prior to the appointment date, and communicating the authorized procedures to clinical staff. This position oversight of resources to patients, providing them with information regarding their insurance coverage, working with patients to explain what their policy does and does not cover, and arranging for different financing options when necessary. The position includes supervision of revenue specialists discussing out-of-pocket, prior balance and current copay amounts with patients in advance of their appointments. Job Status: Full-time, Hourly Non-exempt, Remote Duties/Responsibilities: Supervises medical, chiropractic, and behavioral health coverages in advance of appointments. Monitors that revenue specialists are entering the Electronic Health Record (EHR) insurance plan coverage with appropriate effective and termination dates. Provides oversight that verifications and discussion of prior balances, co-pays and patient cost shares with patients in advance of appointments. Ensures revenue specialists are notifying patients of lapses in coverage or coverage issues prior to appointments. Reviews that documents and logs of expected patient payments are maintained in EHR for Patient Services Representatives prior to patient check-in. Monitor that the revenue specialists are reviewing that authorized services (coding) accuracy. Ensures that revenue specialists are maintaining that authorizations are complete and accurate prior to the patient’s visit. Manage the communication of co-payments and authorized services to clinicians, the front desk and the authorization department. Verify that scanned documents are being uploaded by revenue specialists as needed into EHR or DAP Health files. Oversees that maintenance of insurance websites for DAP Health eligibility. Ensure that revenue specialists are providing assistance to patients with insurance coverage questions. Responsible for Greenway Follow up requests related to eligibility verification, insurance plan mismatches, and others. Work closely with Revenue Cycle Coordinator Lead, Coding Supervisor and Clinic Operations staff to resolve in trending errors in eligibility or authorizations. Accesses patient-protected health information as required. Ensure team members are meeting established performance and productivity benchmarks Complete all PTO requests and submission of related documents, including electronic timesheets to the Payroll department as required Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of EHR functionality. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Duties/Responsibilities: Develop in-depth understanding of DAP Health’s strategic goals, objectives, programs,services and populations (demographics, needs, barriers, profiles) Research public, independent, private, and corporate grant and other funding opportunities that match the goals and objectives of the organization, as well as collectany new/relevant information to strengthen relationships with and appeals to current funders Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization Serve as a grant specialist for key funding to support operational and infrastructure funding Compose high quality, timely, evidence, researched, and data-based proposals and reports, collaborating with other staff as necessary for background, project description, budgets, data, outcomes, evaluation strategies, and required supporting documentation Prioritize and manage several projects with various funders Cultivate effective working relationships with staff and grantors as directed by supervisor Monitor the progress of funded proposals and submit required reports Perform research, online and/or through other sources related to healthcare, socialservices, and related issues to collect statistics and information to include in grant proposals Screen funding opportunities and funders to collect information that supports evaluation of the opportunity, including mission, match, and eligibility Proofread drafts of proposals, reports, and other documents prepared by colleagues and staff from other departments, to correct typographical errors, formatting inconsistencies, grammatical errors, and spelling errors Maintain complete, accurate, organized files, and updates to grant submission calendar; and tracking databases Other duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities Highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes Ability to manage grants portfolio with a strategic and future-thinking approach Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread documents Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment Demonstrated research, analytical, and writing skills with ability to communicate effectively Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to relate and communicate to all types of individuals in a respectful, non-judgmental, professional manner Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff and clients Work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, remaining calm, respectful, detail-oriented, flexible, and focused Work independently as well as collaboratively, and associate with DAP Health and champion its mission Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and/or four years of college with emphasis in English, Government/Political Science, Journalism, Public Health, Social Sciences, or similar fieldpreferred Minimum two years of experience in grant writing and related grants tasks for nonprofit organizations for broad range of submissions, including application/proposal components for online, emailed, or hardcopy submissions and detailed reports as required by funding awards Experience in proofreading, editing professional documents; grant applications and reports Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex grant projects from inception to completion, including multiple stakeholders, and setting and meeting deadlines Record of success in securing grants, preferably from diverse funding sources (e.g. public, independent, private, and corporate foundations) Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Ability to lift 24 pounds Operates in an office setting and/or remote office location - requires frequent times of sitting, standing, repetitive motion and communication Access to patient protected health information Hybrid – Onsite-Telecommute-Remote option
