Service Engineer – C&I

SMA Solar

• Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and online tools to customers, EPCs, and installers • Troubleshoot and analyse the solar string inverter faults, alarms, and error codes • Support customers during commissioning, configuration, and startup of inverters • Diagnose DC/AC side issues including grid faults, string mismatch, insulation faults, and communication issues • Monitor inverter performance and analyse underperformance or downtime • Perform network and communication troubleshooting including LAN, RS485 and firewall related issues. • Log, track, and close service cases using Salesforce • Coordinate with field service, Reginal service head, and internal technical teams for escalations • Assist with warranty evaluations and technical documentation • Maintain accurate service records and prepare basic technical reports

Job Requirements

  • Electrical Electronic Engineer with Experience of minimum4 years in same domain.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to diagnose system issues across hardware, software, and network layers.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to clearly document setups, test scenarios, and findings, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
