We’re looking for a Senior Design Operations to join our team in North America. Growth, at scale, is linked to building trust, partnership and allyship. This role focuses on the processes, methods, tooling and culture associated with high-performing design teams. You will work closely with the Design Operations Director to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. You will assist in developing strategies, implementing processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the success of design and UX research projects. To be eligible for this role, candidates must be based in eastern Canada and able to work within the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. What you’ll be doing: - Ensure teams are set up for success and have everything they need to work effectively including: tools, skill-training, and process documentation. - Build and maintain programs related to Design (example: analyze design reporting based on JIRA metrics and identify opportunities for improvements) - Can influence design and product to follow best processes and identifies problems (sprints, VQA) within the design process, suggests improvements, and rolls out solutions to team - Works efficiently and collaboratively to keep team members communicating and producing in a timely manner, minimizing feedback loop cycles - Manages sprint ceremony calendar, including guests, and agenda - Evaluating, implementing, and optimizing tools to enhance the team's productivity and collaboration - Create playbooks and documentation that help scale alignment and best practices - Keeping a finger on the culture pulse and actively participating in shaping it; focusing on morale, and unspoken feedback. What you need to bring: - At least 3 years of industry experience on a creative team influencing culture in matrix organizations - A strong, full understanding of design, product and engineering teams work together in the agile process. - Experience scaling programs and design methods (bonus!) with a goal to up-level teams at scale. - Analytical mindset interpreting data and informing decisions through insights - Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
