We're Excited About You Because You Have ….. - Significant professional software engineering experience (8+ years) - Extensive experience in front end and backend software engineering experience, including a deep knowledge of JavaScript (and TypeScript), Web Components, and having working familiarity with various web frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, etc). - Expert-level understanding of browser fundamentals: HTML, CSS (Flexbox, Grid), DOM, event lifecycle, rendering, and performance tuning. - Strong experience using browser dev tools across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. for layout debugging, JS tracing, and performance profiling. - Solid understanding of working with back-end technologies and architectural patterns. - Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence others, and align multiple teams around technical direction. - Demonstrated experience architecting and maintaining component-based design systems with support for theming, responsive behavior, and accessibility. - Passion for user experience, developer ergonomics, and performance measurement (including Core Web Vitals). - Able to observe, instrument, optimize, and operate what you build (we use Datadog) - Understanding of CI/CD and deployment toolchains; we use CircleCI, Docker, Amazon EKS, Terraform - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bonus points (not required) ... - Experience building production applications using a Server Driven UI (SDUI) approach to build across web and mobile clients using GraphQL. - Some production Elixir experience or knowledge; you've built and deployed Elixir to production In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position. In addition to base salary, some roles are eligible for our bonus and/or equity programs, depending on level and role. Regular full-time positions are eligible for our comprehensive benefits package. Role Summary: The Senior Developer will build and enhance our lending platform while contributing to the adoption of modern technologies across the organization. This role requires a strong technologist who can deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment, working across low-code platforms, modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings solid technical depth with an understanding of business context and can operate effectively with minimal supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using low-code/no-code platforms and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks. - Implement AI-powered solutions and tooling to improve development workflows and operational efficiency. - Own technical delivery of assigned projects from development through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure solutions, with a focus on Azure-based architecture. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. - Contribute to architectural decisions, code quality standards, and engineering best practices. - Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve platform capabilities and development efficiency. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to peers. GENERAL DUTIES - Work with product management and business stakeholders to scope work and estimate delivery timelines. - Contribute to the development of engineering processes and methodologies that support rapid, high-quality delivery. - Document system designs, technical specifications, and implementation decisions. - Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to fintech and lending domains. - Support incident response and production issue resolution as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. - 5–7 years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a senior or lead development role. - Strong proficiency in modern low-code/no-code platforms (OutSystems, Mendix, Appian, Retool, or similar). - Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js, React, Svelte, Vue.js, or Angular). - Experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures, microservices, and API integrations. - Working knowledge of CI/CD practices, infrastructure as code, and DevOps principles. - Experience with RESTful API design and implementation. - Understanding of software security best practices and compliance requirements in regulated industries. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision. Preferred: - Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services technology. - Knowledge of real estate or construction lending processes. - Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications in business contexts. - Experience working in startup or high-growth environments. The Pay Salary range is $150,000-$165,000 per year with a discretionary bonus of up to 25% per year The Work Environment - This role works remotely in the United States with occasional travel to our corporate headquarters in Encino. - Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime. - Some nights and weekends required.
