Role Description Ellucian is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Solutions Manager focused on selling Ellucian Student to join the Global Proposals team, serving as a functional authority across our integrated SIS, ERP, CRM, and platform ecosystem — with deep expertise in student first solutions. - Respond to complex, detailed SIS and platform RFx requirements by translating institutional needs into clear, accurate, and strategically positioned solution responses. - Analyze RFPs, determine solution fit, and craft high-quality functional content that demonstrates how Ellucian’s solutions work together across the student lifecycle and enterprise operations. - Support continued revenue growth through providing up-to-date functional, technical and strategic content for RFx responses, as well as supporting partner responses. - Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Solutions Consulting, Services, Cloud, Compliance, and Sales Enablement to ensure proposals are compliant, competitive, and aligned with current product capabilities and roadmap direction. - Support North America and report to the Senior Manager, Proposal Solutions. Where you will make an impact: - Support the successful development of compliant, competitive, relevant, accurate modern content for Ellucian Student Signature and Essentials packages. - Analyze RFxs, questionnaires and other bid documents for requirements and help determine SIS and platform solution fit for Ellucian Student Signature and Essentials. - Identify red flags and issues in RFP requirements based on Ellucian’s portfolio of products, partners and services. - Influence the quality of the proposal during reviews and final delivery by customizing materials for the greatest impact and performing rigorous quality assurance checks on draft and final documents. - Engage in consistent release training and partner with Product on solution updates and new product launch information to infuse that information into the content library and RFxs. - Participate in RFx retrospectives and provide guidance on actions to improve process efficiency. Qualifications - Deep knowledge of Higher Education business processes, SIS, ERP, and CRM capabilities, as well as SaaS/cloud architecture. - Experience using AI tools to research, drive efficiency and enhance writing. - Strong writing skills in Prompt writing, Box, Ombud (or other proposal automation tool), ChatGPT, Perplexity. - Deep writing, editing and oral communications skills required. - Ability to solution, research, strategically solve complex problems and work independently. - A logical approach, with the ability to organize and structure information, extract relevant information and the confidence to ask questions to clarify. - Ability to collaborate well and work across teams to achieve a common goal. - Prior experience with Ellucian products is a plus. • Oversee the RFI and RFP process, serving as central point of contact for coordinating and combining proposal drafts from all contributors • Heavily customize proposals to illustrate the company’s value proposition while illustrating an understanding of each client’s unique needs • Communicate clearly to Sales when RFP materials are ready for submission and provide links to all submission materials • Collaborate with the Strategy, Revenue, and Sales teams to gather track down responses to RFP questions that aren’t readily available • Review, edit, and customize proposal drafts, qualitative supplemental documents, and executive summaries to produce a final product with a consistent voice • Ensure new responses are sent to the Content Database for future usage • Cross-train and contribute to other areas of SmithRx in the RFP off-season (typically October – December) such as implementation, contracting, or other areas as needed
