Role Description As Bid Writer Manager at Viable Data, you will be instrumental in delivering winning bids for Viable Data, supported by our experienced leadership team. You will: - Take the lead in writing outstanding bids. - Mentor junior writers and offer guidance to enable the growth and development of the team. - Keep a watchful eye over developing and existing frameworks to ensure that Viable Data has a foothold in important government frameworks and routes to market. - Adapt quickly and easily to changing requirements from the business as we look to grow our business through bidding on Central Government opportunities. - Be responsible for the continued development of the bid function and take on a leadership role as we bring in Junior Bid Writers to support our growing business development teams. This role is remote with occasional business essential travel. Key Responsibilities - Planning, producing and reviewing written proposals for Government tender opportunities. - Coordinating the bid responses within time constraints. - Escalating issues or priorities to Senior Leadership for resolution. - Working with different stakeholders on multiple bids simultaneously. - Writing quality PQQ’s, proposals and tender submissions against briefs. - Collaborating with internal subject matter experts and partner teams. - Creating well-structured and compelling case studies and material. - Updating and managing the bid content library. - Developing bid supporting documents such as case studies and CV’s. - Managing clarification questions and messages via tender portals. - Supporting the completion of framework, bids and awards submissions to timescales. - Guiding Junior Bid Writers in the creation and completion of content. - Involved in Qualification Process and Bid Governance. - Proposal and presentation creation. - Testimonial and reference library management. Qualifications - Experience managing and winning high value bids. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Able to create high quality bid documents; organise, collate, and review content from contributors. - Able to digest information from stakeholders, breaking down technical concepts and messages into plain English. - Task prioritisation and managing your time effectively to meet competing priorities. - Excellent spelling and grammar with exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-scrutinise work. - Due to the nature of work, candidates will be eligible and willing to undergo BPSS security clearance. Develop strategic proposals in response to low to moderate complexity RFPs. Serve as proposal strategist by leading RFP strategy meetings that include appropriate corporate and field business partners and senior level management to develop proposal responses that are both compliant and compelling.
