Role Description We are seeking a Room Sales Agent (remote) to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. - Responsible for effective coordination of booking room reservations. - Ensure quality and service standards are always upheld. - Assist Travel Agents when assistance is needed. - Maximize the hotel's revenue through personal and team goals. - Support and understand all departments to ensure guest satisfaction. - Exemplify the philosophy and mission of Eau Resort & Spa. Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience; hotel luxury environment preferred. - Effective communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. - Previous sales experience is required. - Previous experience with Opera Software is preferred. - Ability to work flexible schedules that often include evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on a team and in a goal-oriented environment. - Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, staff, and co-workers. - High aptitude for computer programs. - Professional and cooperative demeanor. - Positive and energetic attitude. - Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. - Knowledge and execution of effective office organizational practices. - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. - Implementing and adhering to Forbes Standards. Requirements - Ability to ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures. - Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. - Ability to think clearly, analyze and resolve problems, and exercise good judgment. - Ability to follow processes and procedures set forth by Reservations Manager, Supervisors, and other hotel leadership. - Be motivated and inspired as well as work as a team to ensure cohesiveness and consistency throughout the department and hotel. - Ability to welcome training and coaching as deemed necessary by Reservations leadership. - Ability to focus attention on details. - Ability to develop strong, productive, professional relationships with internal and external guests. - Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and performing job duties. - Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties. - Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information and materials. - Ability to work unsupervised at times and provide immediate follow-up. - Ability to practice detailed standardized accounting procedures to protect the assets of the hotel. - Must have a professional image and personality exuding confidence. - Always be an ambassador to Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, in and outside of the workplace. - Ability to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time, unsupervised. - Should be able to work well under pressure. - Must be a team player, working well with other departments and coworkers. - Ability to speak coherently, primarily over the phone, while describing the details of the hotel and providing accurate reservation and hotel information. - Ability to go the extra mile to provide extra attention in order to satisfy guests’ individual needs and wants. - Should be creative, innovative, and strive for continuous improvement. - Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; know how to ask for help when needed. - Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult guests and/or situations.
