This dynamic team is at the heart of managing our loan portfolio, taking care of everything from customer service and payment processing to calculating loan amortization schedules, amending current loans, determining early payoffs, and overseeing post-closing collateral and insurance management, among many other critical tasks. This specialized role is an incredible chance to expand your knowledge and hone valuable skills, as you'll receive comprehensive cross-training across all three functions: Loan Administration, Portfolio, and FP&A. - Gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire loan onboarding, origination, and processing lifecycle as it relates to our Loan Administration software. - Perform daily audits on all loan records to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Contribute to the creation of innovative auditing techniques that enhance the integrity of data management flowing through our Portfolio. - Assist with and execute all tasks related to Loan Administration. - Prepare Delinquency Reports, Overall Loan Status reports, and Terminal IRR reports with attention to detail. - Collaborate closely with the Asset Resolution Department to provide all necessary data efficiently. - Prioritize and support the transition to our Loan Administration Software. - Conduct regular reviews and analyses of underwriting expectations post-funding: categorize exception distributions, provide rationale, and issue monthly executive-level exception reports to ensure adherence to underwriting policies and procedures. - Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications - A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in fields such as Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, Data Modeling Sciences, or similar disciplines. - At least 3 years of growing experience in financial analysis and modeling, particularly leveraging data analysis in the financial lending or mortgage sector. - Strong understanding of general business principles, along with a solid grasp of accounting, quantitative analysis, and finance. - Experience in banking is highly desirable. - Ownership of a laptop or desktop is necessary, as the company does not provide equipment. Requirements - Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF/AND/OR, and other data analysis formulas. - Hands-on experience using Power BI. - Skilled in creating dynamic dashboards in Excel. Role We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to cover U.S. leveraged loan situations across the credit lifecycle. This role sits within a team of sixteen analysts covering both performing and distressed credits and will contribute directly to the team’s research coverage. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience covering primary and performing credits or distressed debt and restructuring situations. The analyst will be responsible for publishing high-quality credit research reports with actionable investment ideas, focusing on fundamental credit analysis, relative value analysis, liability management, and valuation. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with our legal and cross-functional research teams to produce differentiated, cross-disciplinary analysis for our subscribers, which include leading institutional asset managers, hedge funds, investment banks, trading desks, and financial and legal advisors. The salary range estimate for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 The actual compensation will be at Octus’ sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. • Manage tasks within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure AD, including user account creation, modification, and deactivation; group management; security configurations; and access control. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-user hardware and software issues, including laptops and peripheral devices. • Respond promptly to user inquiries, diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, and escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams when necessary. • Process user onboarding and offboarding, ensuring proper account provisioning, access management, and equipment support. • Provide end-to-end support during high-priority incidents or outages to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption. • Deliver immediate technical assistance for VIPs or executive users when required. • Assist users with software installations, updates, and configuration settings, ensuring compatibility and compliance with organizational policies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, email systems, and security measures. • Perform routine system maintenance, including monitoring system performance, applying security patches, and coordinating software updates. • Assist in responding to security incidents and vulnerability management tasks to ensure risks are promptly mitigated and reported to the appropriate teams. • Create and maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, user guides, and knowledge base articles to support self-service resources. • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate support and troubleshoot issues when necessary. • Handle ad hoc tasks, projects, and assignments as directed by IT Operations management.

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks and reporting. • Proactively communicate status or issues impacting timeliness of reporting and/or task completion. • Present findings and suggestions from analyses to various levels of management. • Work with Sr. Analyst to review, enhance, build, and implement Predictive Models. • Support testing, implementation, and management of underwriting criteria and models. • Cross-train to other Risk functions (similar in responsibility) to ensure redundancy within the Risk team. • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
