Job Description
Technical Product Lead - AI IP Protection and Security
IDC Research Inc.
Overview About the Role & TeamYou will be the primary architect of our Digital Asset Rights & Revenue Assurance (DARRA) strategy. You are responsible for ensuring that our high-value intellectual property is shielded from unauthorized exploitation by generative AI models and rogue scrapers, while simultaneously ensuring seamless access for legitimate, authenticated partners. What You’ll Do Architect the Defense: Define the roadmap for the Agent-Aware Firewall, creating a dynamic system that identifies, classifies, and manages non-human traffic in real-time. The Adjudicator: Lead the development of our automated entitlements engine, ensuring that every request for content is met with the precise level of access granted by our commercial agreements. Strategic Counter-Intelligence: Monitor the evolving landscape of AI "Dark Arts"—from bypass techniques to unauthorized LLM training and develop technical countermeasures to stay two steps ahead. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Legal, and Sales to align our technical defenses with our commercial goals, ensuring that supports revenue growth rather than just acting as a gatekeeper. Execution: Drive product clarity through PR/FAQs and 6-pagers. You will own the metrics for "Deflection Rate," "Entitlement Accuracy," and "Revenue Leakage Prevention." What You Bring - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or another Quantitative Discipline - Desired work 10+ Years in Technical Product Management: Specifically, within Ad Tech, Cybersecurity, or Digital Rights Management (DRM). Prior experience building and scaling AI products preferred. - Deep Technical Fluency: You must understand the mechanics of web crawlers, robots.txt evolution, API gateway security, and the underlying architecture of Large Language Models. A proactive obsession with security and asset protection. You don't just wait for a breach; you hunt for vulnerabilities in our distribution model. - Experience managing complex, high-stakes technical initiatives where the cost of failure is high (revenue loss or IP theft).Ability to translate technical scraping into clear business risks and opportunities for executive leadership.
