Platform Engineer – RelEng
Giant Swarm
• Responsible for shared Kubernetes services and pipeline for Kubernetes releases • Test the Kubernetes platform overall • Build automation for bootstrapping new providers • Manage the pipeline for Kubernetes releases • Participate in on-call rotation for alerts and customer incidents • Communicate actively with team members and other teams
Job Requirements
- Experience with at least one major CI/CD system (e.g., Tekton, Jenkins, or Concourse)
- Experience with GitOps and GitOps tooling (e.g., Flux or Argo)
- Extensive operational experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS or Azure)
- Proficient in Go and Bash programming
- Strong software engineering background
- Experienced Linux user
- Comfortable using AI tooling as part of the development process
- Ability to collaborate with developers across teams
- Experience deploying to production multiple times a day

• Managing and resolving incidents/issues from start to finish, owning initial investigation and troubleshooting to determine root cause and resolution, creating escalations as needed • Handling internal and external communication (status page, tickets, Slack, Webex etc.) • Creating and/or update procedures, run-books, diagrams, and other documentation on a continual basis • Writing automation scripts to streamline incident resolution • Partnering with senior engineering teams during scheduled or emergency maintenance activity
