You like collaborating with internal stakeholders to increase probability of award, are comfortable with tight deadlines and spikes in workload, and communicate professionally in your analysis and presentation materials. - Serve as a pricing expert and senior subject matter resource, collaborating with directorate senior management, account managers, capture teams, and proposal and pricing leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing proposals mainly focused on mid- to large-sized federal professional services opportunities. Position also will lead pricing for data centers and commercial opportunities. - Lead and conduct competitive analysis and Price to Win (PTW) activities for strategic pursuits, assessing competitor pricing strategy and positioning. Develop and recommend pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, risk, and profitability and lead price strategy meetings with pricing stakeholders. - Develop effective Excel cost models and cost/price narratives in response to RFPs and task order requests across a range of contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FFP, IDIQ, etc.), ensuring accuracy, internal consistency, and alignment with technical and staffing approaches. - Prepare and present clear, professional pricing summaries, slide decks, and financial analyses for senior management discussions—supporting decision-making through well-structured assumptions, scenarios, and recommendations. Prepare cash flow and other analysis as appropriate for the opportunity. - Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain cost inputs and ensure integrated, compliant, and highly competitive pricing solutions. - Ensure timely development of multiple opportunities at various stages, proactively identifying risks, resolving challenges, and adapting to tight proposal schedules and changing requirements. - Ensure compliance with the internal estimating system, accounting procedures, proposal requirements, and applicable Government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, CAS). - Prepare and maintain pricing files for internal, customer, and Government audits, and serve as a key pricing representative in supporting audit requests and pricing-related inquiries. - Engage with pricing team members to foster a culture of knowledge sharing; provide thoughtful reviews, and support to pricing team member proposals and contribute practical ideas to improve pricing models, tools, and practices. - Work under consultative direction from the Director of Pricing—operating independently in day-to-day pricing work and proactively engaging the Director to align on pricing strategy, major risks, and key decisions throughout the proposal lifecycle. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. - 12–15 years of demonstrated pricing experience in Government contracting, including leading, planning and pricing strategic and complex federal proposals and working collaboratively to build consensus, solve problems and identify solutions for successful awards. - Broad understanding of the federal services marketplace and competitive landscape, and ability to apply that industry knowledge to pricing strategies and recommendations. - Experience evaluating proposal risk in cost estimates, terms and conditions, and other business or financial management considerations. - Demonstrated experience conducting competitive analysis and Price to Win (PTW) assessments for large, strategic opportunities. - Demonstrated experience advising senior management on pricing strategy, federal Government contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS, etc.), contract terms and conditions, and proposal financials. - Extensive experience structuring competitive pricing for a range of federal customers, acquisition approaches (e.g., OTA, CSO), and all major contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FFP, IDIQ, etc.), with a strong understanding of how different contract types and acquisition strategies affect risk and pricing approaches. - Highly Desired: Experience pricing data center and cloud solutions, including multi-tenant environments and as-a-service delivery models, for Government and/or commercial customers. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel for developing accurate and effective pricing models and using advanced formulas and functions. - Strong organizational, verbal, written, and analytical skills appropriate for a principal-level pricing role, including the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with senior and executive management and internal and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, subcontractors). - Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to translate complex pricing data and assumptions into clear, concise written summaries and slide decks that support informed decisions by senior management. - Strong attention to detail and personal commitment to accuracy and compliance, especially under tight schedules and multiple competing deadlines, and a Personal drive for collaboration, increasing breadth of knowledge, and continuous improvement, including support to other pricing professionals. - Remote position, ideally with the ability to work in our McLean, VA office if needed for a major proposal or an infrequent meeting.
