Role Overview The Finance Executive role plays a key operational role within the Finance team, supporting the day-to-day financial management of a growing multi-brand e-commerce group. This role focuses on transactional finance, financial accuracy, reporting support, and maintaining well-organised financial records across multiple entities and international markets. The position works closely with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams including operations, marketing and customer service. The role is primarily operational and execution-focused, ensuring that financial processes run smoothly and that accurate financial data supports business decision making. The position is fully remote and suitable for a highly organised, detail-oriented Finance professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced digital business environment. Key Responsibilities Transactional Finance • Responsible for monitoring the Finance mailbox, responding to all enquiries the same day or first thing the following morning at latest. Flagging items that require urgent attention to the Finance Manager as appropriate • Process supplier invoices and credit card entries, ensuring accurate coding and entry into the finance system as well as compliance with company policies and VAT rules at all times • Manage Accounts Payable processes including payment scheduling and supplier communication • Assist with Accounts Receivable tracking and reconciliation • Support the management of multi-currency transactions across international markets Financial Records & Reconciliation • Maintain accurate financial records across multiple brands and entities • Perform regular bank, payment gateway, and platform reconciliations • Reconcile Shopify, payment processors, and other sales channels against financial records • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data Reporting & Finance Support • Assist in preparing monthly Management Accounts and financial reports • Support the preparation of financial summaries, reports, and internal dashboards • Provide data and documentation required for audits, compliance, and reporting processes • Assist with budgeting and forecasting preparation where required • Identify cost reduction opportunities Systems & Process Support • Work with finance systems and internal tools to maintain accurate financial data • Help improve financial processes and documentation as the business scales • Support finance-related administrative tasks across multiple brands • Collaborate with operations and e-commerce teams to ensure financial accuracy in sales reporting Operational Finance Support • Assist with monitoring cash flow and payment schedules • Maintain organised financial records and documentations • Ensure financial procedures are followed consistently across brands
Job Requirements
- Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of financial accuracy
- Good understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes
- Comfortable working with financial data across multiple platforms and systems Platforms & Systems (Essential)
- Experience using Accounting or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience working with digital payment platforms and financial reconciliation Communication & Working Style
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working remotely and communicating via digital collaboration tools
- Strong process discipline and attention to detail Other Requirements
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and suitable home working setup Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working within an e-commerce or D2C business
- Familiarity with Shopify sales data and payment gateway reconciliation
