Spectrum Science - a GHMC Company
• Manage all facets of a multidimensional, interwoven team and provide sound, strategic counsel to ensure progress, action and results; keep senior leadership informed and bring them in when necessary to maintain high-quality service and execution • Develop thorough knowledge of client industry landscape, scientific approach and business objectives as to identify strategic opportunities • Partner with subject matter experts (content strategy, social, earned media) team to develop strategic programs that meet client goals • Lead teams in executing patient-centric client events including strategic planning, material development, coordinating with client cross-functional teams and overseeing logistics • Work with senior leadership to expand strategic thinking and identify growth opportunities • Review wide-array of complex, strategic scientific communications materials and other deliverables (e.g., corporate/product narratives, messages and Q&As, results reports, leader talking points, scientific animation video scripts, owned and sponsored articles) • Take the lead on plans and high-level deliverables (e.g., yearly planning) • Participate and actively contribute to all-agency/IAT meetings, as appropriate and as the face of Spectrum • Manage account financials including staffing and projections, budget tracking and monthly billing packages to ensure team is on trend; liaise with client on budget recommendations • Ensure team meets deadlines, manages priorities and effectively communicates to both internal and external stakeholders • Supervise junior staff and play an active role in their professional development; identify and champion both account-specific and agency-wide visibility opportunities for self and team members • Contribute to new business opportunities
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English or similar major
- At least 8-10 years agency experience, including experience in healthcare and science communications/public relations
- Experience supporting pipeline communications for biotech/pharma clients, or similar high-science communications experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and familiarity with media tools (e.g., Cision, Bloomberg Terminal, HootSuite)
- Be able to manage multiple projects and/or accounts simultaneously, demonstrate adaptability to new information and shifting priorities
- An extreme attention to detail

What You Can Expect In This Role The Vice President (VP) of Structured Products is responsible for designing, marketing, implementing, and managing structured product solutions for institutional and wealth management clients. This role serves as a key bridge between institutional partners, internal teams-including sales, trading, project management, and product development-and clients to design customized investment solutions that align with client objectives while managing risk and regulatory requirements. The VP will drive the growth of the structured products business by identifying new market opportunities, developing marketing and distribution strategies, building client relationships, delivering product expertise, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative structured investment products. What You'll Do In This Role • Product Structuring & Development • Design and structure customized structured products. • Develop new investment strategies and product structures to meet evolving client needs. • Work with trading and quantitative teams to determine pricing, payoff structures, and hedging strategies. • Client Coverage & Sales Support • Identify and act as a primary liasion with institutional partnerships; negotiate arrangements and growing structured product sales. • Partner with sales teams to originate structured product opportunities with financial advisors, institutional investors, wealth management platforms, and other key stakeholders. • Present structured product strategies and educate clients on product mechanics, risks, and performance scenarios. • Build and maintain relationships with structured product platform providers, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, banks, and institutional investors. • Coordinate deal execution from structuring to issuance. • Liaise with legal, operations, product, project, and compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate launch of products. • Prepare term sheets, marketing materials, and client presentations. • Risk Management & Compliance • Evaluate market, credit, and liquidity risks associated with structured products. • Ensure compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and internal risk management guidelines. • Support surveillance and reporting requirements for structured notes activity. • Market Intelligence & Strategy • Monitor market trends and pricing to determine opportunities to grow structured product sales. • Identify opportunities to expand product offerings and distribution channels. • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on the growth of structured products. • Commitment to embrace Sammons Financial Group Companies shared values (Accountability, Connection, Openness, Respect and Integrity). • As stated within the Company Attendance and Punctuality policy, regular attendance is required and expected in order to meet the business service levels and workflow demands. • Participate in other initiatives and/or projects as necessary.
