We’re looking for an experienced and detail-driven Information Systems & Security Administrator to join our team. If you’re proactive, highly organized, and passionate about infrastructure, security, and continuous improvement, you’ll be a great fit. This role combines hands-on systems administration with the opportunity to strengthen and evolve our security posture and operational processes. You’ll help maintain and protect our Azure-based production environment, support SOC2 compliance efforts, improve internal documentation and workflows, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure our systems remain secure, resilient, and efficient as we scale. Primary responsibilities: - As part of a multidisciplinary team, plan and implement ongoing improvements to meet Splashdot’s evolving Information Systems needs. - Maintain, monitor, and update Splashdot’s Microsoft Azure-based production environment, including both Azure native technologies such as App Services and Windows-based virtual machines. - Research and monitor ongoing and evolving security threats, and proactively work to protect systems and staff. - Administer Office 365, including Sharepoint. - Procure, renew, and install SSL certificates. - Contribute to documentation and perform procedural tasks as required for ongoing SOC2 certification. - Create and maintain internal documentation relating to production systems, security standards, and vital processes. - Liaise with client and partner technology teams as required to support project work.
Job Requirements
- Key skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a related role.
- Proven experience with:
- Microsoft Azure
- Azure Front Door
- Office 365
- Networking
- Backup management
- Microsoft Windows Server and IIS
- Web and environment security, ideally including:
- SOC2 or similar certification
- Vulnerability scans and pen tests
- Application firewall configuration
- Additional experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills: able to flexibly and efficiently perform tasks, both proactively and as directed, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to write clear, concise, grammatical English without reliance on AI.
