Junior Business Analyst – LabVantage, Instrument Interface
Tryton TC
• Partner with stakeholders (Lab Ops, QA, IT) to gather and document business requirements for LabVantage LIMS enhancements and related lab systems. • Assist with process mapping, workflow documentation, and identifying opportunities for automation and standardization. • Support LabVantage configuration activities (e.g., sample workflows, tests, specifications, user roles, reports) under guidance from senior team members. • Participate in instrument/interface-related initiatives such as: Supporting instrument connectivity (e.g., chromatography systems, balances, pH meters, spectrophotometers). • Assisting with data transfer/integration troubleshooting between instruments, middleware, and LIMS. • Coordinating testing and validating that results flow correctly into LIMS. • Create and maintain project documentation including: User stories / BRDs / FRDs Traceability matrices Test scripts and execution evidence SOPs / Work Instructions. • Support UAT coordination, defect triage, and stakeholder communications. • Assist with CSV (Computer System Validation) deliverables in regulated environments (as applicable), including test planning and documentation support. • Work with cross-functional teams to support releases, change control, and ongoing system support.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role (lab/regulated environment preferred).
- Exposure to LabVantage LIMS (user support, requirements, configuration support, or implementation participation).
- Understanding of laboratory workflows (sample lifecycle, testing, results review, approvals).
- Strong documentation skills: requirements, process flows, SOPs, test cases, and meeting notes.
- Familiarity with instrument integration concepts and data flow (instrument ? middleware ? LIMS), even at a basic level.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
