Role Description As a Workday Payroll consultant, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of Workday Payroll solutions for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their payroll requirements, configure Workday Payroll to meet those requirements, and provide expert guidance throughout the implementation process. In addition, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Workday Payroll best practices, helping to optimize processes and maximize efficiency for our clients. - Lead the implementation of Workday Payroll solutions, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment. - Collaborate with clients to understand their payroll requirements and translate those requirements into effective Workday Payroll configurations. - Configure Workday Payroll to meet client requirements, including payroll calculations, tax setups, earnings, deductions, and other related processes. - Lead and mentor junior consultants on payroll configuration and implementation best practices. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure seamless integration between Workday Payroll and other systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues, working with clients and internal teams to identify root causes and implement solutions. - Stay current on Workday Payroll updates and new features, assessing their impact on client implementations and advising accordingly. - Contribute to the development of internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance our Workday Payroll practice. Qualifications - 3+ years of hand on experience supporting Workday Payroll implementation lifecycle processes, including system design, configuration and project reviews. - Workday US Payroll certification preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience. - Strong understanding of payroll processes, including payroll calculations, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex Workday Payroll projects from start to finish. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, project teams, and stakeholders at all levels. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members preferred. The compensation for this role includes a salary range of $90,650-$173,559. - For salaried positions, this role may also be eligible for an annual bonus. • Assist in the end-to-end payroll process for exempt and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Process payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, and garnishments. • Support the processing of timecards, off-cycle payrolls, and manual checks. • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to validate payroll information and resolve discrepancies prior to final transmission. • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues with a high level of customer service. • Assist with the maintenance of payroll records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and tax laws. • Support the administration of leaves of absence and workers' compensation as they relate to payroll. • Build and refine scalable payroll processes, documentation and workflows as the company grows. • Collaborate cross functionally with People Team, Accounting and Finance to ensure data accuracy and seamless payroll operations. • Prepare payroll and benefit journal entries for submission to the general ledger. • Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts to payroll registers and other supporting documentation on a monthly basis. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. • Assist in gathering data and documentation for payroll tax and benefits audits. • Support the Payroll Manager in developing and maintaining process and control documentation of the payroll department.

• Act as a lead consultant on multiple client engagements with limited direction • Understand client business requirements and provide guidance throughout design, configuration, and prototype; assist clients with testing and move to production efforts • Partner with Engagement Managers to keep them informed of project status, changes, etc. • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts to ensure clear lines of communication and project alignment • Accurately maintain forecast in a timely manner • Build strong relationships with clients, gained through trust and exceptional customer service
