Senior Oracle Payroll Functional Consultant

Next Generation Inc.

• Lead functional design and configuration for Oracle Payroll implementations and enhancements. • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications. • Provide guidance on payroll compliance, calculations, and integrations with other Oracle HCM modules. • Conduct testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful payroll runs. • Support change management and end-user training for payroll processes. • Partner with technical teams to validate integrations and customizations. • Deliver high-quality documentation and maintain project timelines.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with Oracle Payroll in an HCM environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll rules, fast formulas, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll
  • Ability to lead client workshops and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

In addition, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Workday Payroll best practices, helping to optimize processes and maximize efficiency for our clients. - Lead the implementation of Workday Payroll solutions, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment. - Collaborate with clients to understand their payroll requirements and translate those requirements into effective Workday Payroll configurations. - Configure Workday Payroll to meet client requirements, including payroll calculations, tax setups, earnings, deductions, and other related processes. - Lead and mentor junior consultants on payroll configuration and implementation best practices. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure seamless integration between Workday Payroll and other systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues, working with clients and internal teams to identify root causes and implement solutions. - Stay current on Workday Payroll updates and new features, assessing their impact on client implementations and advising accordingly. - Contribute to the development of internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance our Workday Payroll practice. Qualifications - 3+ years of hand on experience supporting Workday Payroll implementation lifecycle processes, including system design, configuration and project reviews. - Workday US Payroll certification preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience. - Strong understanding of payroll processes, including payroll calculations, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex Workday Payroll projects from start to finish. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, project teams, and stakeholders at all levels. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members preferred.
