Role Overview The Professional Development Trainer serves as a full-time employee, delivering high-quality professional learning experiences to school districts across the United States. This role facilitate engaging, consultative workshops designed to support educators in effectively implementing Learning Blade and Ready For Industry courses. This role involves virtual and in-person delivery, workshop customization, and ongoing collaboration with staff to continuously improve professional development offerings. A successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and self-starter, with in-depth knowledge of the latest educational procedures, regulations, and platforms. Responsibilities - Facilitate Learning Blade and Ready for Industry professional development workshops for school district administrators and teachers, including: virtual, live webinar trainings, face-to-face workshops, and on demand video recordings - Use a consultative approach to demonstrate how Learning Blade’s courses and services support instructional goals, district initiatives, and student outcomes. - Deliver engaging, professional, and well-organized sessions aligned to eDL quality standards. - Review notes and district background information prior to each engagement. - Customize workshop materials as needed to address district goals, initiatives, and challenges, using eDL-provided templates and approved resources. - Plan sessions using Learning Blade’s professional development modules to ensure consistency, flexibility, and alignment across workshops. - Partner with staff to ensure smooth planning and delivery of sessions. - Provide ongoing feedback and recommendations to support continuous improvement of workshops and trainer resources. - Participate in co-led trainings, onboarding activities, and periodic updates as requested. - Provide quality, specific follow up after each PD session to ensure participants are successfully using courses by emailing and phone calls. Ideal Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). - Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering professional development, instructional coaching, training, or facilitation for educators or school staff. - Demonstrated experience working with K–12 school districts, online/blended learning programs, or digital curriculum providers. - Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person professional learning sessions. - Strong understanding of effective instructional practices, learning theories, and professional learning design. - Comfort working in a consultative, client-facing role. Skills - Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. You will have the opportunity to develop resources for the Certificate in Applied Computing, an exciting new digital skills award for learners aged 14-19. The development of learning materials for the certificate is being informed by research and underpinned by tried and tested pedagogical approaches. In 2026 we are focussed on supporting students at schools in Greater Manchester to complete the certificate.
