Role Description The Database Support Assistant provides technical and administrative support for the district’s student information systems and related databases. This position ensures accurate data entry, maintenance, reporting, and system support to promote efficient district operations and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. The Database Support Assistant works collaboratively with school site staff, administrators, and the technology department to maintain data integrity and support daily operational needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Database & System Support - Maintain and update student information systems (SIS) and other district databases. - Perform accurate data entry for student enrollment, attendance, grades, scheduling, and demographic information. - Assist with system setup, user account management, and access permissions. - Troubleshoot basic database and system issues; escalate complex issues as needed. - Data Integrity & Reporting - Monitor data accuracy and perform regular audits to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. - Generate routine and ad hoc reports for administrators and departments. - Assist with state reporting submissions and data validations. - Maintain documentation of procedures and data management processes. - Customer Support & Collaboration - Provide training and support to school staff on data entry procedures and system use. - Respond to inquiries regarding database functions and reporting tools. - Collaborate with technology staff to test system updates and enhancements. - Confidentiality & Compliance - Maintain strict confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with FERPA and district policies. - Ensure secure handling and storage of digital and printed records. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred. - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in data entry, database support, or administrative systems. - Experience working in a K–12 educational environment preferred. Requirements - Proficiency in student information systems and database software. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. - Effective written and verbal communication skills.

About the role: As a Primavera P6 EPMM Administrator, you will manage the Oracle P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) system, focusing on installation, configuration, security, backups, performance tuning, and user support. You will act as the bridge between P6 application users and core IT, ensuring data integrity and system availability for project managers/schedulers. This will include system health monitoring, tuning for speed, managing access rights, disaster recovery, and assisting users, having a strong Oracle/SQL knowledge. You will report to the Senior Manager, SPMO PM Systems, Operations and Analytics. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States. Key Responsibilities: - System Administration & Configuration: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Primavera P6 EPPM and associated components (Web Access, Integration APIs, BI Publisher, etc.). Configure global and project-specific settings including calendars, EPS/WBS structures, activity codes, and UDFs. - Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, optimize configurations, and tune for speed. - Security & Access: Manage user access, set permissions, and implement security policies. - Backup & Recovery: Develop and execute backup/restore plans, ensuring data recovery. - User Support: Act as the first point of contact for P6 users, providing training, mentoring schedulers, project managers and planners, and troubleshooting. Promote best practices in schedule management and system usage. - Documentation: Maintain standards, procedures, and system configurations. - Collaboration: Work with IT, developers, and Primavera support for seamless operations. Liaise with Oracle support for escalated issues and patch management. - Data Management and Integration: Ensure data integrity across projects and portfolios. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - 7+ years experience managing P6 Primavera applications and project management scheduling support. - 5+ years' of demonstrated experience in Primavera P6 EPPM knowledge (schema, background jobs, administration guides) plus experience in Oracle Database skills (SQL, tuning, backup/recovery, security). - Proficiency in scripting (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell) for automation and understanding of P6's complex enterprise structure for project management support. - Deep understanding of Oracle RDBMS, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. - Advanced SQL scripting for complex queries, reports, and PL/SQL for automation; strong scripting (e.g. Shell, Python) for efficiency. - Experience tuning the P6 database (EPPM/PPM) for optimal performance, especially during cleanup and resource-intensive tasks. - Experience implementing security, managing user access, and ensuring data integrity within the P6 environment.
