Position Summary The Patient Services Coordinator at Intrafusion Holding Corp. is responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients by managing administrative tasks, coordinating appointments, and serving as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries. Key Responsibilities - Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, both in person and over the phone. - Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate entry into the electronic health record (EHR) system. - Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and medical history, maintaining strict confidentiality. - Process patient registrations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently, including collecting co-pays and outstanding balances. - Answer patient questions regarding services, appointments, billing, and general inquiries, providing accurate and helpful information or directing them to appropriate personnel. - Manage incoming calls, faxes, and emails, prioritizing and responding promptly. - Prepare and organize patient charts and other necessary documentation for appointments. - Liaise with clinical staff, insurance companies, and other departments to facilitate patient care and resolve issues. - Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. - Assist with other administrative duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the facility. Minimum Requirement Typically requires 3+ years of related experience. Education High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in medical office administration preferred. Critical Skills - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient-facing role within a healthcare setting. - Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. - Customer service-oriented with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient interactions. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
