Senior Network Engineer
Flock Safety
• Define and document standard device network topologies and edge-to-cloud connectivity models • Partner with customer-facing teams to address network constraints and establish deployment best practices • Design and maintain routing, firewall, and local network configurations on embedded devices • Lead incident triage and root-cause analysis for networking issues in deployed systems • Identify recurring failure modes and anti-patterns, and drive improvements to reliability and performance
Job Requirements
- 8+ years with embedded Linux networking, including routing, firewalling, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience deploying devices into customer-managed networks with varying security and topology constraints
- Hands-on experience defining, operating, and troubleshooting routing and firewall rules
- Practical knowledge of VPNs and network segmentation, including VLANs
- Experience designing or operating edge-to-cloud connectivity models, such as outbound tunnels, reverse proxies, or VPN-based access
- Experience with automation or scripting for provisioning and diagnostics
- Strong network troubleshooting and diagnostics skills
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container platforms

Daily work involves developing technical strategies, leading various migration efforts, presenting to the customer, and creating comprehensive documentation. The Federal Network Engineer will be hands-on, executing in-field integrations, migrations, and expansion plans they have developed. Role Description Own the design, reliability, and automation of enterprise network connectivity across on-prem and cloud.
