Sales Representative
Trident Technical College
• Schedule, create, and lead quarterly business reviews. • Formulate medium to long-range sales plans to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of customers. • Develop and implement a strategic customer growth roadmap/plan with the focus on implementing new business awards and building customer dependences. • Aggressively pursue additional sales opportunities and proactively drive opportunities to successful closure. • Engage customer contacts to initiate contract renewal process, and ensure contracts are renewed on time. • Monitor competitive activity in each account and ensure appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated. • With autonomy and tenacity, resolve issues and ensure customers receive high quality customer service. • Ensure customer profitability by maintaining and/or improving customer margin through coordinated activity with Sales Operations and other departments (obtaining customer approval on substitutes/alternatives, getting necessary price increases implemented, etc.) • Maintain accurate information for sales pipeline, prospects, customer information and communication logs within the CRM system. • Assist in the management of all elements of contractual obligations, including but not limited to excess & obsolete inventory, value added/value engineered, cost savings documentation, pricing/material index reviews, inventory reductions, and expense minimization. • Own relationships with mid-level clients (i.e. Purchasing Manager) and foster relationships with senior clients (i.e. Purchasing Director, C-Suite, etc.). • Support customer implementations and continuous improvement initiatives • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial sales experience, with related products and/or related industry.
- Valid Driver’s license and approved driving record.
- Experience with project management and/or new customer onboarding, a plus.
- High standard of professionalism and ethics.
- Preferred style of teamwork, collaboration, and humility
- Ability to analyze complex business situations and develop creative business focused solutions.
- Self-starter, self -motivated, and ability to manage and drive own schedule.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, blueprint or schedule form.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills, and formidable negotiating skills.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and with written communications.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
- Refined persuasion and related sales and presentation skills.
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and execute in a high-pressure environment.
- Comfort with and efficient in data analysis, graphs, statistics, percentages and ratios.
- Travel estimated up to 60%.

• To promote the use of Winebow’s portfolio in our Los Angeles county territory specifically aimed at the retail chain industry. • Develops an effective marketing and sales strategic plan in order to maximize wine distribution within an established or growing customer base. • Follows daily schedule and ensures all accounts listed are visited and merchandised per each retailer’s standards. • Develops broad base of support for Winebow’s services by maintaining routine contact with key decision makers. • Places product on shelves or in displays for maximum exposure. • Ensures product is in the proper location, rotates stock appropriately and pricing material is used (when applicable). • Provides timely educational programs, materials and services when deemed necessary. • Works with Key Account Manager or Designee to monitor sales growth and market penetration with the use of monthly reporting tools. • Participates in wine education programs, hosts wine dinners and pouring events, which includes tasting of wines. • Works, when necessary, with Winebow’s accounting department to resolve any billing issues within their designated territory. • Responsible for communicating directly with Winebow’s Customer Service department any specific ordering or shipping needs indicated by clients within their territory. • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner. • Arrives at work, appointments, meetings, and all work-related functions on time and as scheduled. • Attends department and division meetings and functions as required. • Ensures the needs and requests of all accounts/customers are met in a timely manner. • Performs other duties as assigned.
