Job Description

SDET – Back End

Quanata

• Follow agile methodologies and participate in scrum meetings and software quality audits for all the phases of SDLC. • Responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area. • Perform business requirement analysis by thoroughly understanding Project Design Document and Business Requirement Document. • Develop scalable and robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, BDD frameworks, and PyCharm; executes integration, regression, and performance testing using industry standard tools. • Research new or better alternate automated testing tools. • Extensively use TestRail Test Management tool or equivalent to maintain the test suites, manage the automation test results and analyze the test failures. • Works independently and collaborates across teams to drive quality initiatives and lead detailed software quality discussions. • Demonstrates clarity of thought designing end to end test scenarios to work through limited information and vague problem definitions; mentor other quality engineers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with API.
  • Experience in integrating testing artifacts with CI/CD pipeline.
  • P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Linux, databases/SQL/Postgresql, shell scripting is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of GoLang is a bonus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments.
  • Desire to automate everything and reduce the time required to manually test products.
