Role Description The Activation Specialist leads producer activation, onboarding, licensing, and appointment processes across the organization. This role serves as the subject matter expert for getting producers set up, licensed, appointed, and system-ready to sell — partnering with internal teams and state regulators to keep activation fast, accurate, and compliant. The Senior Activation Specialist also identifies process improvements, supports related compliance monitoring, and helps drive operational excellence in how producers get to market. Key Responsibilities - Core Activation - Lead end-to-end activation for external producers selling company products: entering producer information into all systems, completing compliance reviews, ensuring Producer Agreements are completed on time, and distributing credentials for system access. - Serve as the escalation point for complex producer onboarding, activation, licensing, and appointment matters. - Lead producer appointment and affiliation processes with state Departments of Insurance, ensuring compliance with state-specific requirements. - Support policy transfers between agencies, commission-related processes, and resolution of complex activation issues. - Lead and continuously improve the in-house licensing program, including entity Secretary of State filings, producer licensing, adjuster licensing, and ongoing license compliance monitoring. - Process & Team Support - Create, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs, process guides, training materials, and knowledge base content for activation and licensing workflows. - Audit activation-related operational processes and automated workflows for accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness. - Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies within activation and licensing functions. - Serve as subject matter expert and mentor for team members on activation, licensing, and appointment best practices. - Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by leadership. - Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and relevant industry designations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. - 5+ years of experience in insurance compliance, licensing, producer onboarding, operations, account management, or a related field. - Active Property & Casualty Producer License in home state and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required. - Strong knowledge of commercial insurance operations, producer licensing, appointments, regulatory compliance, and insurance industry requirements. - Experience managing multiple compliance-related programs and initiatives simultaneously. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Advanced organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partners. - Expertise with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, SharePoint, and Power Automate. - Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, process documentation, training materials, and operational controls. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Experience) - CISR, CIC, CPCU, ARM, or similar insurance designations. - Salesforce experience. - Insurtech experience. - Experience supporting carrier audits, regulatory reviews, or compliance monitoring programs. - Experience with workflow automation and process improvement initiatives. - Experience maintaining centralized knowledge bases and documentation repositories. - Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project and knowledge management platforms. - Prior experience mentoring, training, or onboarding team members. Our interview process - Phase 1 : Qualified candidates will first meet with a member of our People Operations team for a phone interview. This discussion is a high-level conversation to understand more about your background and interests and for us to share more about Coterie and the position. - Phase 2 : Selected candidates will be invited to meet with our Hiring Manager for a 2nd interview via Teams video. This interview is designed to be more detail oriented and allows you to learn more about the role. - Phase 3 : Top candidates will receive an invite for our final interview series via Teams video. This series will include an experiential exercise project (provided in advance), 1:1 interviews with selected team members. The final series is roughly 1-2 hours in total but can be scheduled over a few days for flexibility. Senior Insurance Product and Portfolio Underwriting Analyst

• Oversee day-to-day operations for Liability or Property claims teams, ensuring high-quality and timely claims resolution • Lead, mentor, and develop claims leaders, managers, and adjusters to build a high-performing, customer-focused organization • Partner with leadership to define claims strategies, operational priorities, and key performance metrics • Ensure claims-handling processes comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies • Act as a point of escalation for complex or high-severity claims, providing strategic oversight and guidance • Collaborate cross-functionally with Underwriting, Legal, Product, and Customer Care teams to optimize claims processes and manage risk • Drive or support continuous improvement initiatives, introducing tools, systems, and workflows that enhance efficiency and transparency • Manage team capacity planning, performance tracking, and hiring to support Coterie’s growth objectives • Develop, report on, and drive claims goals/objectives and KPIs to executive leadership, highlighting trends, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement • Build strong relationships with vendors, TPAs, and external partners to ensure effective claims handling and alignment with service expectations

• Assist with digital campaign execution across paid, organic, and email channels • Develop and/or support campaign asset creation • Assist with campaign setup and execution in marketing automation and CRM platforms • Help update website content and landing pages • Support development and maintenance of sales enablement materials • Help organize partner playbooks, content libraries, and internal resources • Write and/or edit copy including emails, newsletters, digital campaigns and website pages, internal communications, and more • Assist with event and tradeshow planning and coordination • Contribute to reporting dashboards and marketing performance analysis • Support cross-functional coordination between marketing and sales teams
• Run Coterie’s recurring user access reviews under the direction of the Principal Security Architect, coordinating with system owners to certify access and remove stale or over-provisioned entitlements across our environments • Gather, organize, and validate evidence to support compliance testing and audits, following established procedures to build evidence packets that trace access and changes from request through approval • Administer our privileged access management program with oversight, focusing on endpoint privilege management, operating local administrator elevation, least-privilege policies, and just-in-time access on endpoints within approved guardrails • Support time-bound, approved, and reviewed privileged access through Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM), including role assignments and periodic recertification of privileged identities • Triage and respond to security operations alerts from our SIEM and endpoint tooling under the guidance of senior engineers, escalating, documenting, and helping close out incidents • Run the day-to-day administration of our security awareness program, including building, scheduling, and reporting on phishing simulations and assigning follow-up training • Follow and maintain the procedures, standards, and documentation the team has established for access reviews, privileged access, and related security operations workflows • Utilize a risk-based approach to your day-to-day work and surface pain points and recommend continuous-improvement ideas for these programs and processes • Partner with IT operations, engineering, and compliance teams to help close access and process gaps and mature Coterie’s security posture • Take on other security operations tasks that support the team, such as detection tuning, vulnerability remediation tracking, and tooling evaluations, as directed and as priorities shift
