Job Description
Senior GTM Engineer
Us Temporal
Role Description The Senior GTM Engineer at Temporal will be the founding member of our GTM Engineering function. This role is a technical builder who translates our revenue strategy into automated, scalable systems with a focus on AI-powered use cases. Reporting to the VP of Revenue Operations, you will work alongside Business Systems, Data & Analytics, and other members of RevOps to orchestrate the workflows that remove friction from our go-to-market motions, from initial developer education to deep enterprise engagement. This is fundamentally a builder role. You won't maintain an existing set of automations — you’ll be responsible for developing AI use cases and collaborating with the Security and Business Systems team on underlying infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a technical operator who thinks like a product engineer, has deep empathy for workflows across the customer journey, and possesses a bias for quick execution and iteration. What You'll Do - Build AI–powered automation systems as needed across the full customer journey: developer sign-up engagement, account research, contact discovery, opportunity management, customer health monitoring, and more. - Embed with sales, marketing, and technical services teams to observe how work actually happens — conducting process audits, shadowing deal reviews, and mapping handoffs end-to-end — then build the systems that eliminate friction. - Ship code on Temporal Cloud, setting up workflows to orchestrate interactions across a broad range of distributed data stores and tools. - Collaborate closely with Security, Data, and Business Systems teams to define data sources and destinations while maintaining the highest standards of data security and integrity. - Partner with the GTM Systems to make “build vs. buy” decisions and maximize the impact of Temporal’s revenue technology stack. - Educate other members of the Revenue Operations and GTM teams on best practices for using AI in their day-to-day roles, collaborating with GTM Enablement on scaling best practices across the organization. - Establish and measure success metrics for every system you build, share learnings with stakeholders, and iterate relentlessly based on what the data shows. Qualifications - 5+ years in a technical revenue operations or GTM engineering role with a demonstrated track record of building automated systems with broad adoption in production environments. - Direct experience at a B2B software company that sells to technical buyers. You understand how developer evaluation cycles work and how self-serve product motions intersect with enterprise sales. - Salesforce proficiency with a strong working knowledge of the data model, system limitations, and DML operations. - Deep hands-on experience with enrichment and workflow automation platforms, including multi-source enrichment waterfalls and signal-based outreach triggers. - Strong SQL proficiency to write complex analytical queries and validate data quality directly from an internal data platform. - API and integration experience (MCP servers, REST, webhooks) to build durable custom connectors when no-code options fall short. - Python scripting for custom enrichment logic, data manipulation, and automation workflows. - Comfort with product analytics and event data pipelines (e.g. Segment) and connecting behavioral signals to CRM workflows. - A builder mindset: you structure ambiguous problems, propose approaches, ship fast, and iterate without needing a complete playbook handed to you. - Preferred but not required: familiarity with Temporal's workflow orchestration platform — either as a user or in a technical pre-sales or support context. Compensation - The estimated pay range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000 depending on level and experience and geographic location. - This role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan. - Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. - Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process. Benefits - Unlimited PTO, 12 Holidays + 2 Floating Holidays - 100% Premiums Coverage for Medical, Dental, and Vision - AD&D, LT & ST Disability, and Life Insurance (Standard & Supplemental Available) - Empower 401K Plan - Additional Perks for Learning & Development, Lifestyle Spending, In-Home Office Setup, Professional Memberships, WFH Meals, Internet Stipend and more! Travel - Temporal is a globally distributed, collaborative team that values opportunities for in-person connection. Occasional travel may be required for company events, team offsites, and other meaningful moments that bring us together. Additional Perks - $3,600 / Year Work from Home Meals - $1,800 / Year Professional Enrichment (Career Development & Professional Memberships) - $1,200 / Year Lifestyle Spending Account - $1,000 / Year In-Home Office Setup (In addition to Temporal issued equipment - laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, trackpad, and extension power cable at no cost to you) - $74 / Month Reimbursement for Internet - Calm App Subscription for Mental Health & Wellness Equal Opportunity Employer Temporal Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
