Principal Enterprise Architect
Workiva
• Act as a C-Suite Transformation Partner: Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives (especially CIOs), aligning their strategic goals with our technical strategy and guiding them through their cloud modernization journey • Define and Design Technical Strategy: Lead the overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for key accounts, designing innovative solutions that leverage enterprise modernization, capability mapping, and emerging technologies like Agentic AI • Drive Value Realization and Adoption: Create enterprise-level success plans to monitor KPIs, mitigate technical risks, and use governance to ensure customers achieve their business goals through solution adoption • Enable Internal Teams and Partners: Coach consulting teams and partners on complex implementation (architecture, performance, integration) and develop reusable assets, technical designs, and thought leadership content • Support the Full Customer Lifecycle: Engage with customer architecture and security teams during pre-sales and post-sales phases, acting as the technical bridge between client teams and our internal Product and Engineering organizations
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technical consulting, or post-sales solution delivery
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field; an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated success building and articulating architectural visions to senior stakeholders (from VP to Chief Architect)
- Solid, comprehensive understanding of modern enterprise architecture, including cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy), AI technologies, enterprise data strategies, application integration, workflow orchestration, and security for hybrid-cloud applications
