Role Description This is a remote position. Do you enjoy keeping financial records accurate and making sure everything lines up correctly? This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while supporting both financial operations and day-to-day administrative needs. The Role: Bookkeeping Assistant Imagine being the person who helps keep both the books and operations running smoothly. You manage and reconcile financial data in QuickBooks, ensuring everything matches and stays up to date. You also support payroll and billing processes, double-checking schedules, rates, and payments for accuracy. Beyond bookkeeping, you assist with organizing employee records, onboarding tasks, and occasional hiring support like phone screenings or background checks. By staying flexible and working closely with the client, you help ensure that both financial and administrative processes run efficiently and without disruption. What Your Days Might Look Like: - Enter and check financial data to make sure records are accurate and match reports - Help manage payroll and billing by reviewing schedules, rates, and payment details - Support HR tasks like organizing employee documents, assisting with onboarding, and keeping files up to date - Assist with basic hiring tasks such as phone screenings, background checks, and reference checks when needed - Being flexible and willing to take on different tasks depending on priorities - Communicate clearly during work hours to receive instructions and provide updates Qualifications - You have solid bookkeeping experience and are highly proficient in QuickBooks Online - You’re confident in reconciling accounts and accurately importing financial data - You’re open to learning and taking on tasks beyond bookkeeping, including basic admin and HR support - You’re comfortable handling a mix of responsibilities, from financial tasks to document organization and screening support - You can work independently while also collaborating closely with a client, especially on billing and payroll - You communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English across phone, email, and messaging - You’re reliable, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities in a remote work environment - You are willing to work in a US time zone schedule.
